Huh. Looking at the list, then why are 49 heading there and only seven to Tech?

UVA is #1 on Codesignals which is the tool used to assess coding skills and is used by many tech companies in their hiring process: https://codesignal.com/university-ranking-report/2022/

Nobody cares about Codesignals. Being number 1 on that list means you produce the best code monkeys.

Even more amazing since TJ class of 2022 is about 70% Asians and Asians are openly discriminated against in college admissions.
I think the results actually prove the exact opposite - that Asian students aren't discriminated in admissions - which also affirms what we've seen with our own eyes during campus visits. Congratulations to the students.

You look at the college acceptances from when the Asians were a minority to Asians gradually increasing in numbers, the college acceptances generally have worse outcomes although still amazing.

For example, when Asians were a minority, TJ had about 20 acceptances to MIT, routinely had 15+ acceptances to Princeton, 12+ acceptances to Harvard etc.

This is actually true. Asian acceptances to the highest colleges have gone down.

This is actually true. Asian acceptances to the highest colleges have gone down.
There are many factors that have impacted college decisions so this often repeated statement doesn't prove discrimination claims. Asian students tend to prefer STEM majors and there are only so many spots in those departments - all of which understandably won't go to any one ethnic group. This is understood as schools build classes (ie schools trying to get more female STEM majors, more male nurses etc).

There are only so many spots for Asians in those departments... Corrected it for you.

Silly rabbit. The best code monkeys have starting salaries of $135+, signing bonus, equity, and relocation expenses.

UVA CS grads become coders while MIT, Berkeley and Stanford grads go on to PH.D programs or SWE/Quants making 275K+/year at graduation.

Tell that to the MIT and Princeton C.S. grads that work for me (a poor State school grad). Smart guys, but not focused and slow, which is why I make more.

Our white DD was either rejected or waitlisted by HYPSM and CMU, while a lot of her Asian friends were accepted there. She has very high stats, NMF (scholar), has various awards, leadership positions, etc.

I remember seeing that on Reddit around 10 years ago. It looks out of date.
