| I think professional women with that long blonde balayage thing going on look ridiculous. Spend more time on your work, less time on your stupid hair. |
| No, I have hair a few inches below my shoulders. I’m not going to cut it short because a pixie cut looks horrible on me. Ask me how I know. Also, no one cares about my hair length at my agency. |
| Sort of. Just got a haircut before a big interview and intentionally got it a bit shorter to look more clean cut on zoom. But probably would have done same in person because I just had my second kid and need to save time in the morning. I also tend to keep it a bit shorter in winter because I’m less likely to let it air dry. However, for me this means just below shoulders… not chin length which looks awful on me. |
I mean, yeah, no one should have Christian Girl Autumn hair like that if they’re not appearing on The Bachelor. But there’s other long hairstyles that look plenty professional. |
| Should the beard match the length of hair? |
| Cousin IT was just wondering? |

My hair has never grown past my collarbones. Chin to shoulder length looks OK but requires daily styling, and if I wear it curly, results are unpredictable.
So yeah, every few years I chop it all off to a pixie. It takes zero work and always looks neat. I don't care if you think I look butch. |
Who are these people who dig up ancient posts just to say something pointless? |
My 63-year-old boomer sister has had a short hair and says things like "rock my short hair" and thinks she is super cool. She looks terrible. She thinks her hairstyle is so cool and just "wash and go." She looks like she basically "gave up" and is more interested in things being easy than having any pride or interest in her appearance. I promise you, you're not "rocking" anything. You look like someone who doesn't care. Just look at celebrities to see what truly looks good on middle-age and older women. Even older women look better with longer hair than a "wash and go" cut. You all are very defensive about it, but should just be honest about it. I sometimes get very tired of the time I spend in the mornings to look polished and, well, nice and pretty, when I walk out the door in the morning, but I know it's better to present myself well to the world. The short, wash and go look make you look lazy. |
I don't think OP is talking about a pixie cut. More like a bob. |
| Short hair is harder to maintain for me. Mine is shoulder length or slightly longer. |
| Short hair is a sign to men that you no longer want to be considered attractive. That can be hugely beneficial in terms of staying away from harassment in the workplace. |
| No. For career reasons? I’m not working a pneumatic press. |
| No. Almost 50 and long hair. People love it. |
