| I believe so! |
I was raised Episcopalian and distinctly remember a sermon in middle school when the priest said animals didn’t have souls and so can’t go to heaven. Anyway I don’t believe in religion for myself now and that was the start of it. |
| No. Animals don’t have souls. -Catholic |
There’s no free will anywhere because God’s immutable in time. God knows everything you’re ever going to do because that’s what He created. God has no past and no future. To God, your future has already happened. It’s impossible to impress God and it’s impossible to disappoint God because He already knows everything you’re going to do. God knows EVERYTHING, including what we perceive as the future. There’s nothing God doesn’t know. Nothing about God ever changes. You can’t change God’s mind. |
So then there is no free will on earth either. Then the damned are rendered so by design? Wow. |
| So do all animals on Earth go to heaven? And stay their forever? What is the difference between your dog and a cockroach? Fun times!!!!! |
Wow -- pp knows everything about God! How did that happen? |
Only animals that humans love go to heaven. If you had a pet cockroach, you will find it when you die and go to heaven. Signed, an expert on these matters |
Well that is pretty terrible for all the unloved pets that are born and euthanized every year. Are they consigned to hell with the rest of the sinners? |
Friar Jack Wintz has a different opinion on whether you might see a pet in heaven. Check it out. |
| As this thread aptly shows, there isn’t a single Christian position on lots of things. Not surprising given how many different denominations there are in Christianity. |
My cousin did. He saw a vision of Hell. It changed his life. He didn’t become religious, but he did make amends with a number of people he had hurt. |
| It wouldn't be heaven without them so yes, if there is one. |
| Former Lutheran here. My Sunday school teacher told me my dog wasn't in heaven because animals don't have souls. |
And you won't miss your pet because you'll be in the dazzling presence of God. |
