Are you the person who keeps calling Savvas "Phillip" page after page? Multiple times in several posts.
Hope it stops. Thank you in advance.

No I am not. You didn't need to be rude. Thanks in advance.

It is hard to tell if there was just one person doing that or several - but it happened MANY times in this thread and in any other thread it would be just "annoying" but in this thread it is more than that.

Thank you for your cooperation - hope others will follow your suit.

Have you ever read Truman Capote's classic novel, "In Cold Blood"? That classic book recounts the horror story of the 1959 murders (at night, in their home(!)) of a simple, Holcomb, Kansas, farming family, the Clutters (older daughters already lived out of the house, but the father, mentally ill mother, teenage son, and daughter were killed) by two white, ex-con drifters.

Or how about the story of Jeffrey R. MacDonald, the white, military doctor who slaughtered (at night, in their home(!)) his beautiful, pregnant wife and their two young daughters in Fort Bragg, NC.

Or Bradford Bishop, the white, foreign service officer who in 1976 slaughtered his mother, his wife, and their three sons at their Bethesda house.

What about the Manson murders? Or L.A.'s Night Stalker, or the Boston Strangler?

The one commonality in all of these crimes are not white victims, or rich victims, but that we -- as a society -- still find it shocking and unforgettable when two, three, or more people are murdered in their own house, particularly when those break-ins, murders, or acts, happen at night.

And those who jumped to those conclusions are DC's brightest, wealthiest citizens?! (shuddering at the thought) Unbelievable.

Your predictably unsuccessful "hate the rich" stance is helping, how?

Nope don't hate the rich at all, just disgusted by those who immediately jumped all over every word the housekeeper said as evidence of her involvement. Also, disgusted by everyone who judges the first maid's husband or the employee who dropped off the cash.

Again feel bad for the normal hardworking ones - but one at least is associated with horrific acts that no one will forget.

The majority of Guyanese are hardworking, industrious, college educated people--particularly those over 40. Younger ones live in a very politically destabilized and extremely violent society. It is unrecognizable to the thousands of decent, proud émigrés who grew up there in the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's. This a terrible blow to the community. I am a middle aged white mom with 2 brothers who are STA alums, one of whom is married to a beautiful accomplished Guyanese woman--so this hits home for me.

The mugshot in this link really doesn't look much like the guy from the Facebook photos. Obviously it's the same guy but in the mugshot he looks lighter skinned (don't flame me. I'm mixed race. gradations of skin color are relevant when you're trying to identify someone). He also is a lot less attractive in the mugshot than in the pics pulled from Facebook (also not surprising as we're all guilty of posting more attractive pics). But it might be smart for police to circulate his mugshot along with the images they've already circulated so people have a better idea of what he looks like.

There was a Samantha Wint on Facebook but she deleted her whole page last night. Other family members seem hardworking , normal
Some of 'Dillion's friends appear to be thugs. Lots of them
Obviously he was in DJA database in the first place

Dillion is not the suspect in question.

The surviving housekeeper was one of the last people to see or speak with the victims. Her statements (whether intentional or due to language barrier, fatigue, naivety or reporter editing) were conflicting. Maybe she should not have been so willing to give media interviews.

The housekeeper (if she was quoted correctly) actually said many things that were huge red flags if the perp also knew about them, and many that made no sense in the context of her other statements. Maybe she was just elaborating on bits and pieces that she got after the fact, but that was not at all clear. The police also stated it was someone familiar with the family's daily routine. Add in some sloppy reporting/writing as well, and it's not hard to see where people logically would go with that.

The suspect's name and social media connections are confused, at best. The police are now identifying him as, "Daron Dylon Wint, AKA Steffon Wint". I hadn't heard "Steffon" until the police brought it up. "Dillion Wint" that is used on Twitter and Facebook could be a different spelling of the suspect's middle name, or a different person altogether. Earlier I thought "Dillion" was "Daron's" brother, but now I'm not sure. A photo from the Dillion Wint Facebook page is being used by the MPD, but I wouldn't put it past them to have suffered name confusion as well.

Wint was born and raised in Guyana and moved to the United States in 2000, when he was almost 20 years old, according to court records filed in Maryland. He joined the Marine Corps that same year and received an honorable discharge for medical reasons, the records show. Following his discharge, he worked as a certified welder, the records show.

Thanks! Certified welder? That explains the connection.

Welders can make a VERY good living. Vile scumbag could have worked instead of robbing and killing people.

So is that the connection? Did the father know him through the iron framing business? Folks have said that the perp(s) would have to have been known to the couple to gain access to the house. If not, how could he have gained entry unless he forced his way in. The guy in the Post photo looks like every homeowner's nightmare of a home invader.
