What do you mean?

Also, CBS says Wint was from Guyana, emigrated to US 15 years ago. He was briefly a Marine (I assume US Marine).

On his Facebook page he likes a page with the title "I am Jamaican"

Yes, but this is 2nd time I've heard on CBS Radio update that Wint is from Guyana. Maybe he has a lot of friends or just likes Jamaica.

Guys, he's from Guyana but is of Jamaican descent.

Where did you see that? Any info where he was stationed (i.e. any Middle East deployments?)

Also it would explain why his criminal record stops around 2008, btw.

The girlfriend said he plans to turn himself in.

A profiler on CNN just said it might be true, or it might just be a ruse to lead police in the wrong direction.

She had some interesting insights into psychopaths and how they view opportunity. I don't think it's posted online yet.

Dillion Wint on Facebook
There was a Samantha Wint on Facebook but she deleted her whole page last night. Other family members seem hardworking , normal
Some of 'Dillion's friends appear to be thugs. Lots of them
Obviously he was in DJA database in the first place

I just heard it on WTOP at the top of the hours newscast from CBS Radio. Said he's from Guyana, came to US 15 years ago, and he was briefly a Marine. No details on Marine service.

Thanks to PP for clarifying that he was from Guyana but of Jamaican descent.

Big community from Georgetown Guyana

Again feel bad for the normal hardworking ones - but one at least is associated with horrific acts that no one will forget.

Post update:
Wint was born and raised in Guyana and moved to the United States in 2000, when he was almost 20 years old, according to court records filed in Maryland. He joined the Marine Corps that same year and received an honorable discharge for medical reasons, the records show. Following his discharge, he worked as a certified welder, the records show.

It was established last night that he has at least 3 children with 3 different women, and had to be sued by Maryland to support all 3 of them.

No surprise there.

Are you the person who keeps calling Savvas "Phillip" page after page? Multiple times in several posts.
Hope it stops. Thank you in advance.

+1. It's getting really annoying.

If they want to continue to think this sort of thing is "random" and could happen to everyone so we should all live in fear, nothing will dissuade him.

Good Lord, is that how you're interpreting it? I am not the "random" poster, but agree that we all need to realize that nobody is immune from bad luck or encounters with evil people. It certainly was random that poor little Phiilip was at home that day instead of safe at school. Some posters are becoming frantic as they look for explanations and connections that will allow them to feel safe again.

And far from living in fear, I feel more serene recognizing that there is only so much I can do to secure my safety and that of my loved ones. Just read DCUM long enough and you'll see that some people are living in near constant anxiety as they try to micromanage their family's safety and wellbeing.

Seriously. This has been one of the most shocking things to me as I read the thread. People are legit paranoid and anxious. It makes me wonder if they were walking around and living completely blind to the realities of the world. People talking about being scared b/c he may be in NYC, etc. Get a grip, open your eyes, and be smart.

Your existence on earth is random. Saying that something is not random does not mean that you are somehow to blame for events that occur. That's what you are getting hung up on here.

No I am not. You didn't need to be rude. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! Certified welder? That explains the connection.

Welders can make a VERY good living. Vile scumbag could have worked instead of robbing and killing people.

Interesting information. I wonder why they wanted to process him out because my guess is "medical reasons" was only part of the story.

Anyone know if mental issues can fall under 'medical reasons' for an honorable discharge?
