Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread

This isn't a criminal trail. It's a process to decide who will sit on the highest court in the nation. I think we could aim just a teeny bit little higher than anyone who has 5 pending allegations of sexual misconduct.

But then, I'm guessing that bar was too high for your preferred presidential candidate, right? Can't ask for the moon now, can we?

Wow, that's pretty damn telling. That's a flat-out admission that the intention is to simply bring Kavanaugh down with unfounded accusations.

Not it isn't. It is admitting that this is not a criminal proceeding and "beyond reasonable doubt" doesn't apply.

How about just meeting minimal standards like corroborating evidence that's not hearsay?

Yes. Our country is in real trouble if a man’s life can be destroyed based on mere allegations. A truly sad day.

And Hillary's life has been fully intact? She spent over 20 years being completely castigated by the right with nary a charge or parking ticket.

If she was able to run for the US presidency, I'd say she's intact. Maybe not now, but up until November 2016.

As a woman who has two sons, I'm enraged. I told them and my husband the only thing that separates them from Kavanaugh's fate is decent moral women. Any woman now can accuse her husband of rape and all it would take is her allegation and a few tears to destroy him.

Lots of men go their entire lives without being accused of sexual assault. Want to know why?

They don't commit sexual assault. That's the advice I would be giving my sons if I were you.

They are not up for a SCOTUS position to replace a swing vote. In a country with a liberal party that will do “whatever it takes.”
And - false accusations happen.

They also aren't Trump nominees.

The SJC has their investigators working on each complaint.

Hey - if the FBI could miss Kavanaugh participating in the gang rape of minors, why would you want them to do other investigations involving Kavanaugh?

An FBI "investigation" in these cases wouldn't even be a criminal investigation. They won't be obtaining warrants, subpoenaing phone records, etc. The claimed victims need to make reports with the police for proper criminal investigations to take place. Why haven't they?

That Brett was part of a gang rape ring when he was in high school. She doesn't say for sure that he raped anyone, or her, but that she saw him standing in line for his turn. The members of this rape ring made punch that people knew had been spiked with drugs and/or grain alcohol. She says she attended 10 of these parties while she was a college student. I think the one where she was finally raped was her last, but I'm not sure of that.

So, she is what, 3 years older than he? In college. She is returning from college, as a legal adult, and attending parties where she is witnessing gang rapes of minors.... children, legally. And, instead of doing something about it, like reporting it, she returns to these parties where crimes are being committed 9 more times. And, has decided it is now time to report it.
But, instead of going to the police, she goes to the press through an attorney.

Sure. Makes sense to me. /s

Said the loser that's never been to a party that didn't involve a goodie bag at the end.

Give me a break. Lesson for the losers in the room: You don't "report" what happens at a kegger (or in this case, a grain alcohol and quaaluder). You will be destroyed and they will be named to the homecoming court.

Oh, please. It is beyond credulity to think that not one person at any of these 10 parties did not report or tell anyone about the crap that was going on. This wasn’t a Kegger - this was gang rape of minors. And, this woman making the accusations was an f’ing adult.
I cannot believe people are actually falling for this.

And I cannot believe there are so many bookworms on this board -- I've chatted with every friend I know in the past week, and every one of them remembers at least one party where she was pretty sure something was going on in that back room.

"Pretty sure?"
Did they see a line of guys outside a door waiting to get into a bedroom with a minor who had been given some kind of drug?

Dear lord, stop acting like people are accusing these guys of raping 10 year olds. You are disengenuous and dishonest, just like your nominee.

Do any of you actually believe this “rape train” gang rape allegation?

You think the Repubilcans won't "do whatever it takes"? They nominated and elected (with Russian help, of course) a disgusting excuse for a man who readily admits to grabbing pussies whenever he wants.

When it is a party that the younger high schoolers have crashed. Maybe it was recent GP grads home for break who had the party - she was at Montgomery College apparently at the time.

For 'not a criminal trial' you are certainly willing to nail a man with criminal accusations. The key here is you don't WANT it to be a criminal trial.

I know it happened with Gtown Prep boys at the time. Whether this specific allegation is true, I don't know.

LOL:

A new report just came out that provides information on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s third accuser. The report suggests that Julie Swetnick’s ex-boyfriend filed a restraining order against her for some disturbing violence-related issues. This was back in 2001.
