a la Hunger Games. I keep thinking this. |
I am so effing sick of this. I had an elderly relative who was acting exactly like this on facebook. Her family had her admitted to a mental health facility where she received the help she needed. The difference was that her bizarre, rambling rants were not full of hate, racism, nuclear threats, etc. Still, she is never left alone, and her family deleted her fb account. Biden had a bad debate performance and EVERY media outlet talked about nothing else for weeks until he dropped out. (Fwiw, I think Biden was a great president, but I didn’t think he should have had a second term.) But Trump does something far more alarming every single day. And it is just completely overlooked, aside from mentions on social media and msnbc where they are just preaching to the choir. One unhinged episode like this should have sounded the alarms and resulted in him being removed from office, hospitalized, and evaluated. But he gets away with it every day. I absolutely hate how he is somehow allowed to defy every norm, rule, law, and expectation. |
All this. +100. There are too many people benefiting from his declining mental state. This is a perfect situation for thieves. The Republicans and their billionaire buddies are having a party capitalizing on his weakness. Like a demented rich uncle without honest family members and good home health aides taking care of them, he’ll sit in his own shit and sign anything that benefits them because they know how to play to his ego. |
And even your average MAGA paying through the nose for gas is ok with this. They see the demented Trump with a sharpie as “protection” against the communist boogeymen FOX has been warning them about from years. |
I suggest some of you read the news: He has no love lost with Schumer and what Schumer said about ICE was nasty. If he said the same about Israel, Y’all would be cheering him on. Read what Tusli Gabbard has been declassifying and talking about lately regarding the 2016 Russia scandal. Time will tell. Eastwood has had some nice things to say about Trump. SPLC is in a heap of trouble for sure. Nothing Trump says here is dementia - it’s all reported news, though news y’all hate to hear so….dementia. |
That wasn’t just a bad debate performance. The man could not string a proper sentence together or hold a thought. It was both scary and sad to watch. |
He has dementia. F your gaslighting. He is unfit (never was fit) and dangerous now. 25th! |

Neither can Trump - he is incapable of finishing a sentence without going off on some tangent, interrupting himself, getting his words wrong, just making shit up - or falling asleep. The difference is, Biden wasn't outright vicious and malevolent with his ramblings, and in terms of anything else he was contained and was shut down and had cabinet and staff with enough competency and integrity to not just blindly go along with every last bit of deranged nonsense like Trump's cabinet and staffers - they are such spineless lackeys that the won't even question the oversized shoes he gifts them for heavens sake! Biden didn't start any wars. Biden didn't commit us to trillions in new debt. Biden didn't randomly take a sledgehammer to important programs that American citizens and businesses depend on. Trump, in his condition, is in every way a MUCH bigger problem than Biden ever was. |
A fact‑based look at the claims shows the PP is relying on deflection rather than evidence. But we can go into those deflections: Schumer’s past remarks about ICE were political criticism of specific enforcement policies, and he uses rhetoric about "shame" with ICE but nothing Schumer said was actually false. Invoking Schumer does nothing to address the issues of Trump's evident signs of dementia. As for Tulsi Gabbard, she is clearly and willfully spinning a distorted narrative. While she highlights FBI procedural errors, multiple official investigations including the Republican‑led Senate Intelligence Committee and the DOJ Inspector General confirmed that Russia interfered in 2016 and that the FBI had legal grounds to open the inquiry. That is well documented fact that does not go away regardless of Gabbard's gaslighting, yet the PP's framing omits these findings entirely. And the claim that the SPLC is "in trouble" for paying informants is unsupported; paying informants is legal, widely used by law enforcement and journalists, and there is no actuual evidence of SPLC of criminal wrongdoing to support the indictment. The PP's rhetorical pattern here is clear: instead of addressing the original topic of Trump's dementia, the commenter substitutes irrelevant grievances, whataboutism, and topic‑shifting. None of the points raised: Schumer, Gabbard, SPLC, Eastwood - rebut anything about Trump’s failing cognitive state. They function as distraction tactics, not rebuttals. Sorry, but reality‑based discussion requires engaging with the claim directly, not burying it under unrelated political talking points. |

I think there’s a consensus among both republicans and democrats to never again nominate another geriatric going into their 80s. Among all the people talked about for 2028, there aren’t any oldies among them. Lessons learned the hard way as we all endure 12 years of geriatric rule.
No one in their 80s doesn’t have issues. We’ve become so normalized to a bewildered Biden and a rambling Trump, but I don’t think anyone wants more elderly presidents. But we shall have to endure another 3 years of this since no one in the cabinet is going to invoke the 25th. |
Eh. Not that many people actually liked Trump since 2021 (or ever). But people liked him just enough more than...DeSantis. And people felt that the economy in 2024 wasn't fair (which is true and has been true for decades) and voted for him and he slightly edged out Harris. This is a big, weird country with a weird electoral process that is flooded with dirty money. We could absolutely have another 80 year old and terrible President again. |
