ECNL is the only league that forces both boys and girls top teams compete in ECNL.

no it doesn't. stop lying. there are plenty of teams that have MLS boys and ECNL girls and/or RL girls. but with the merger, GA is starting to put pressure on those ECNL girls teams to move to GA since they have MLSnext. soft pressure now but it will only grow

Most of those girl ECNL teams with MLSN boys were there from the beginning of ECNL and are grandfathered in. NVA was trying to maintain ECNL girls when the boys went MLSN but the league said no.

There is no "grandfathering" clause.

All MLSN clubs with girls ECNL will be GA in 1-3 years.

ECNL started this by forcing clubs to play their boys in ECNL if they wanted girls ECNL.

Before the announcement that MLSN and GA will be working as a partnership. GA and ECNL were completely separate entities and one didn't care if clubs had one or the other.

There were also situations where if clubs switched their boys from ECNL to MLSN that ECNL would take girls ECNL away.

I realize that many are brainwashed + in the ECNL cult. However once you stand back and get a better perspective of the overall youth soccer market you'll see that ECNL is rarely the victim.

So you're suggesting youth soccer clubs hire lawyers just to keep girls ECNL?

Think about what you've written, the market is moving a different direction. Clubs have 2 options get in front of the action or spend a bunch of money to maintain the status quo.

Which option do you think clubs will choos?

What about clubs with ECNL boys and GA?

Never happen but the winners all these "elite" leagues should play each other for a true national championship.

Probably the same. But it depends on the clubs boys ECNL teams. If they're terrible they'll probably be pushed into MLSN2 before MLSN.

It would be nice but a single team winning or losing in a national championship wouldn't represent how bad or good the greater league is.

Once NWSL officially partners with a youth league like how MLS has partnered with MLSN the winner of that league will be the default national champions.

They can bully clubs like South Carolina Surf into moving their girls to ECRL. But ECNL will have a hard time moving clubs like TopHat and STA that have very strong boys in ECNL and strong girls programs in GA.

Nobody is bullying anyone.

But I do like that you acknowledge that GA + MLSN have the power to shift things around if they want to. They just haven't started applying it yet.

Vote with your dues and play wherever you want. It won't matter + won't change what's coming.

problem with a true national champ (as you call it) there would be no GA teams making the finals. And the ecnl champ playing the GA champ would be the same waist of time as playing any if the lower leagues champs. Every game would be ten nothing or more. The proof is there with the Nationals. The most dominant club in the long tenured 4 year GA league looks very middle/to bottom of the pack in the ecnl this year. facts are facts. Two (or possibly 3) of their age groups will not even make the playoffs this year. If the most dominant ga club struggles that bad in the ecnl how can you make the case for tophatt, city, galaxy, etc. I can't believe there's still people buying into the leagues being close in talent or there's some changing of the guard happening. Personality I couldn't care less what league wins in the future. Never bought a ga hoodie or an ecnl hat. but, if you want your daughter playing at the highest level with the most amount talented teams and players, you play in the ecnl right now. if that changes, who cares, then all good teams and players go to the GA. has nothing to do with your daughter's individual growth or successful path. it's just a league, and until the ga starts making real moves with the top 25 in the ecnl it will still be second fiddle, and a very far second.
