My opinion is as valid as yours. And since you’ve “never met” me, don’t call me Sweetie. |
It's not possible that a term used by some for one thing can be different from a term used by others for another thing? Or that people could use a phrase to describe different things? When my son was 12, he and his friends were joking about "4:20". I asked him what "4:20" meant, and he told me it was when his group of friends did their homework. He wasn't going to tell me they were making a pot reference. Amusingly, they do use it as both, even years later. Is he lying, if he testifies under oath that 4:20 means you're supposed to be doing your homework? |
Plus the whip can’t get an accurate count if people aren’t talking. |
Yep. I have no idea why Ford is "thanking" Feinstein for anything. Had she quietly shared this allegation with ALL senators when it was submitted to her, the investigation could have been handled at that time. No one would have had to be dragged through the mud. It would all be over by now, for better or for worse. It is directly because of Feinstein's actions - or deliberate inaction - that we are witnessing this atrocious spectacle. |
Wray has let it be known that he is keeping contemperaneous memos as it relates to this investigation. |
Citation for the lie he told about "FFFF" please. |
The FFFFFF thing is the one term I think he did not lie about because there are multiple references and captions in the yearbook to it that don't seem to align with what some people think it means. But boofing, devils triangle, and Renate Alumnus he lied about. The whole conversation about ralphing was totally laughable as well (re: spicy food and sensitive stomach). |
It was also a total set up so that Flake could support the FBI investigation. Flake allowed this faux ambush and the two women readily feel into his trap so that their “voices” could be heard. They were used and now realize it. How humiliating. |
Just because your DH was a DB in HS doesn't mean that all men were. |
On one hand, I see what you are saying. Both sides should be thoroughly investigated and that information presented to the Senators. On the other hand, with the way being in the news goes today, with social media and 24 hour news cycle and so many sites that will print ANYTHING, she would have to be seriously nuts to come forward with this if it was a lie. There are too many crazies out there that now have the ability to harass people in ways they never could before. NO ONE in there right mind would put themselves through this. Death threats? This woman testified before the Senate Committee with MILLIONS of people watching. I cannot even fathom doing that. |
Oooh ooooh! I was raised by an alcoholic too! Can we have dueling anecdotal experiences? That'll surely clear up the issue and demonstrate whether or not Ford was assaulted by Kavanaugh! This time, for sure! |
Ooops "their" right mind |
And just because many women truthfully report their sexual assaults, doesn't mean that all women do. -not the PP |
Right. American College Campuses are notorious for their drinking culture, both male and female partying like crazy. To assume Judge Kavanaugh continues to party like he did in college is ridiculous. If Judge Kavanaugh still drank like that he would be in rehab already. |
He's the job candidate, not "the accused." Using that term makes it sound like a criminal process where a loss of liberty is at stake. If someone makes a more or less credible claim of sexual assault against a potential babysitter, I'm going to look into it to see if the accusation is plausible. If it's plausible, I'm just going to go elsewhere for a babysitter. I'm not going to do a deep dive into the accuser's background. On the other hand, if I'm a judge, jury, or lawyer in a case where someone is on trial for sexual assault, it's very fair game to do a deep dive on the accuser. Lifetime appointment to a Supreme Court seat is a helluva a lot more significant than a babysitting job. |
