No way. He supports all the Republican BS about the 2020 election. Utterly untrustworthy and into conspiracy theories. I don’t want him messing with our elections and encouraging domestic terrorists. I wish there were an old school Republican left but there are none. I hope McAuliffe or McClellan win the nomination since they are moderates.

+1

He made "election reform" part of his campaign strategy. He supports The Big Lie.

NOPE.

I like Youngkin..I align with his ideas for Virginia and he is more impressive than any other GOP candidates, and certainly way better than any Democratic ones. I met him years ago..he is a genuinely nice guy. Happy he was the frontrunner here.

You aren’t concerned about the health of our democracy? That seems to be the biggest issue. It’s terrifying that you are ready to forget 1/6 and disregard all the Republican state legislatures efforts to limit voting rights and do “audits” of perfectly legitimate election results 6 months after! It’s insane and all the R candidates are cool with it. Shocking how far this party has fallen. Too bad Riggleman didn’t win the R nomination.

Nope, not concerned one bit. I am concerned about where my state is heading and how to steer it around. I fully support voter IDs and proper registration of absentee and mail in ballots. I have to show ID to board a plane, to go to the doctors, to cash a check...why would I hesitate to do so to vote as an American?

Same here!

Yes. Almost anybody but Amanda. Good call, VRP, on the convention vs. popular vote scenario.

Yeah, nothing like a party that’s afraid of its voters.

If the Democrats aren’t afraid of their left-wing voters, they should be.
DP

And yet they are running a popular vote primary like normal parties. Huh.

I like that the Rs didn’t make the kids have another day of virtual school for their primaries - so +1 for them.

You weren’t concerned by the attack on the Capitol?

What does that have to do with Glen Youngkin? I am concerned about my state...what he can do, what we can do if he is governor. The appropriate judicial branches will deal with the riot on the capital. That is not my top priority when I consider the future of Virginia.

You want someone who bends over for Trump? And propagates The Big Lie?

If he doesn't have the principles to denounce the Insurrection how can you trust him on anything else?

I would imagine that Youngkin will now move to the center.

Virginia requires ID to vote.
Take a look at HR1 that Democrats proposed for voting, making mandatory for all states:
No to voter ID, no to ID checks or signature verification for absentee ballots.
Voter registration can be done online, with no signature needed if one is already on file.
Automatic registration of voters, then sending them an optout that they should exercise if they are not eligible(illegal immigrants).
Register all 16 year olds.
Election day voter registration, with no challenges allowed by third parties as to eligibility.
No striking of names from voter lists because mail sent to the given address was returned by the post office.
Convicted felons get their votes back if they are not in jail.
Early voting

They consider it a violation of voting rights for states to not have these things.

DP. What affected me more was the fcps decision to have my kids out of in person school for over a year.

Well go down there and take over the school board by beating the crap of some people with flag poles and bear spray then.

And the lies begin. Nope, Youngkin and all the R candidates (other than Cox, who issued an unclear statement) said Biden was not legitimately elected. Youngkin issued an “election integrity” plan even though there has been no evidence of election problems. Youngkin is all in with the big lie.

TX wants poll watchers, GA wants Republican legislators tp overrule election commissioners, all want fewer opportunities to vote... you all want this crap in VA?
Anonymous
I give up. seriously. You people are so crazy to consider rewarding the party of liars and seditionists. They are going to learn nothing ... yet again. They will double down on the crazy and that is on YOU.

When has he denounced Trump? The Insurrection? The Big Lie?

He was endorsed by Trump so clearly he’s already pledged loyalty.

He would have to come out and clearly denounce Trump at this point to not be considered a Trumphumper.
