GDS is undefeated in the history of football in the school.

Just stop before you embarrass yourself further.

Pretty sure that poster was being sarcastic. Has GDS ever even had a football team?

Their baseball team is much, much better than their football team. They went 4-18 and were the 11,883rd highest ranked team in the country. Their 4 wins were all in conference (2 vs St Andrews, 1 vs Maret and Potomac each).

Common thread, same coach as football. Hopefully that will change soon.

Basketball team is the defending DC Champion, having beaten WCAC schools and Wilson along the way.

LOL. I would love to see Sidwell v Gonzaga in basketball. Or any sport that is not based on Harry Potter.

Sidwell beat Gonzaga the last time they played in 2016.

That link is to last season's DC city championship tournament played in 2019 not 2016. They beat St. John's not Gonzaga.

Sidwell beat St John's. St John's had beaten Gonzaga, yes 2019.

The last time Sidwell and Gonzaga played was 2016, when Sidwell won at Gonzaga.

You know they won the DCSAA (A level) in the recent past, right?

Football season came and went. Now it’s basketball season. Let’s see what happens with that sport.

Sidwell did not play GZ in 2016. Sidwell did, however, beat GZ in 2012. Josh Hart went crazy and scored 34 of Sidwell's 82 points to upset GZ that night.

When Sidwell brings in a talented player like Hart plus a couple of other ringers, they can win. They weren't academically qualified, but 1-3 players can change a team.

That doesn't happen in football where you need many more players to make a difference.

Hart proves that Sidwell is just like everyone else.

Josh Hart was an academic all-american in college. Who are you to judge? He started off at Sidwell behind the 8 ball and busted his tail academically. He will make more money this month than you will in a decade, if ever.

1. You have no idea how much I make. But how does his income have any bearing on this discussion?

2. Sidwell bent the rules for him. Doubt they wouldn't have done that if he didn't help them win bball games. STA would never have disregarded their ethics for an athlete.
