Anyone know the score of the Sidwell Flint Hill game?

As usual, a Sidwell parent gets it wrong when it comes to sports. Hart was never an Academic All-American. Had a fantastic collegiate basketball career and garnered AA honors as a basketball player, but never for academics.

His frosh year, he was one of the players who got a Big East Academic All-Star award. I believe anyone who got a 3.0 or better gets obe.

Another example of Sidwell parents not knowing what they are talking about.

You certainly have a chip on your shoulder about Sidwell parents.

Sidwell has recent alums playing in NBA and NFL, not to mention kids recently going D-I in in football and basketball. They have at least a dozens kids playing D-3 in the NESCAC and they do this without making athletics an obsession at the school.

They also lost 42-0 to Maret and were blown out in almost every game. They also brought Hart and other ringers to help win games.

Oh give it a rest. Let’s see what you say this year when the basketball teams meet up. I am sure you will pivot right back to football after the loss FH will take in basketball.

LOL that Sidwell moms are falsely asserting that Hart was an Academic All-American when he wasn't. Good research.

That doesn't happen in football where you need many more players to make a difference.

Hart proves that Sidwell is just like everyone else.

Josh Hart was an academic all-american in college. Who are you to judge? He started off at Sidwell behind the 8 ball and busted his tail academically. He will make more money this month than you will in a decade, if ever.

1. You have no idea how much I make. But how does his income have any bearing on this discussion?

2. Sidwell bent the rules for him. Doubt they wouldn't have done that if he didn't help them win bball games. STA would never have disregarded their ethics for an athlete.

Not going to name names, but this is a laughable statement.

Thanks for sharing Josh's academic award at Villanova.

Yeah. Getting a 3.0 mean you are an Academic All-American.

Who are you to judge how a high school or college student performs?

Wow, you must be pretty dense to believe that people on this board make less than $175k per DECADE. That's actually less than minimum wage.

Didn't Sidwell just have a football player go to Stanford? From my understanding he received full paying offers from every Big 10.

This is true. A wonderful aberration.

But here's the crazy part. When he played high school ball last year, the rest of the team was so checked out that Sidwell lost even more badly than this year! That's why Sidwell now has formal teams made up of homeschooled Christians on its schedule. Have to find someone somewhere to beat. Kind of amazing that injuries don't pile up. Are they all just running away from the ball, for safety?

Found, not formal.

I am hearing different things. My daughter has a couple of friends at Sidwell and I hearing their boys basketball team is stacked. They also have some incoming blue chips being considered for next year.
