“Infestation”

Newsflash: Baltimore’s a big US city with crime, poverty, and filth—just as it has areas of wealth and charm.

This is the current narrative of America: the haves and the have-nots.

What’s Trumps home town? NY? Real estate and Workman rink....he did so much for that town!
It’s a pity we can’t bash him on his record of public service, because he has none.

Happy to take it up. Have you ever seen what those people do to decent housing? I have with HUD funded programs. HUD buildings are even worse Kushner’s are at least market rate and he doesn’t have to take the dregs like HUD buildings.

Which people?

Tenants — try to keep up!

Tenants like these?

"The bedroom ceiling started leaking one day. Then maggots started coming out of the living-room carpet. Then raw sewage started flowing out of the kitchen sink. 'It sounded like someone turned a pool upside down. I heard the water hitting the floor and I panicked. I got out of bed and the sink is black and gray, it’s pooling out of the sink and the house smells terrible.' Cox stopped cooking for herself and her son, not wanting food near the sink. When she moved out soon afterward, Westminster Management [Kushner's property management company] sent her a $600 invoice for a new carpet and other repairs."

I assume when PP said "have you seen what those people do to decent housing" she was speaking of slumlords like Kushner. Those people are the worst.

Nope. Was talking about the tenants. Work in public housing and you will see who is responsible for damage to units.

If you are within Day/weekend trip distance from Baltimore, please consider making a trip to show your support! I wish I could, but I’m in the midwest. When we were in DC, we loved going to the inner harbor and aquarium.

That would be helpful since USA Today dubbed Baltimore the nation’s most dangerous city based on per capita murder rates.

It is infested, not sure how he's wrong.

And you are in total denial about how Fox News is running this country.

The CNN commentator pretty much said that Trump was talking about black and brown people. Trump was literally talking about actual RATS--rodents.
That is the very definition of FAKE NEWS.

Trump's comments about the Congresswomen were inappropriate.

The tweet about Baltimore and Cummings was factual.

Cummings' little rant the other day about "children sitting in their own feces" was ridiculous. Please, what child in diapers does not sit in his own feces from time to time? Anyone with kids knows that. Especially in the car seat!

Your children maybe. My three children were always changed within moments of a bowel movement. You think it's okay to leave it for even a few minutes?

Finally, while we would not sink to name-calling in the Trumpian manner — or ruefully point out that he failed to spell the congressman’s name correctly (it’s Cummings, not Cumming) — we would tell the most dishonest man to ever occupy the Oval Office, the mocker of war heroes, the gleeful grabber of women’s private parts, the serial bankrupter of businesses, the useful idiot of Vladimir Putin and the guy who insisted there are “good people” among murderous neo-Nazis that he’s still not fooling most Americans into believing he’s even slightly competent in his current post. Or that he possesses a scintilla of integrity. Better to have some vermin living in your neighborhood than to be one.

Excellent work.

Who got Civil Rights passed in the 1960's? Not JFK [RC confirmation of we have arrived as Obama is to AA] but LBJ. LBJ was a Democrat, rude and crude. Trump and Johnson each succeeded beloved presidential personas. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/lbj-voting-democratic/

“You’re either the party of Lincoln or you ain’t…. By God, put up or shut up!”

it's a Sunday. Drive or ride the train or take a bus to Baltimore. Go to West Baltimore etc. Then decide if that city needs more help. JFK was an ideal, Camelot, but LBJ actually got the legislation passed. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/jan/22/lyndon-johnson-anniversary-death-awful-man-my-political-hero

Remove the Vietnam War and see this crude man's accomplishments from Civil Rights to Medicare:
"transformed the scope of the federal government, pushing through social security acts that created Medicare and Medicaid, the first civil rights acts since reconstruction, the 1965 Voting Rights Act that tackled racial discrimination in southern polling centres, the Fair Housing Act of 1968, and the Higher Education Act of 1965.
These are not forgotten, discarded relics. Medicare, Medicaid, Head Start and the Food Stamp Act..."

I'm a Democrat and whatever said if Baltimore is better 5 years from now because of Trump that's the bottom line.

When WWE wrestlers and actors are smarter and show more humanity than the president

https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/455031-dave-bautista-calls-trump-a-disgrace-to-everything-this-country

Former WWE star Dave Bautista dropped a verbal smackdown to President Trump on Twitter in Saturday in response to the president’s recent comments attacking Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) as a “brutal bully” and his majority-black Baltimore district as a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess.”

“Of course an elitist POS would say that,” Bautista, a native of Washington, D.C., tweeted on Saturday afternoon.

“He’s never wanted for anything. He’s never had to fight or go hungry! He doesn’t know what the American Dream is. He’s a disgrace to everything this country is,” he continued. “How the hell did a lying, pampas, orange, ignorant, cheap salesman tear us apart?”

Cummings’ district encompasses a lot more than Baltimore. What specifically did Trump say that made you think he was referring to Baltimore?

A well drawn contiguous district, no?

Cummings ought to try and help Baltimore - he’s awfully comfortable in his seat of power while Baltimore burns.

I wish someone would explain why that's the case. Isn't Maryland a liberal thinking state? Why is there so much crime in Baltimore and why is it so segregated?

It is where 70 and 95 meet. But drug issues because of it.

When hasn’t that been the American narrative? Was it not the case under Obama?
