I honestly believe good practice is to say we will be send an email to all families who accepted placement the roster for next year by ----. We reserve the right to add to the roster as we see fit. Any family who accepts is entitled to know the roster by some time in May, not August.

This whole roster notification issue arises only because of the team's record. If they had even a little bit of success there wouldn't be this much sensitivity. I can't blame folks for wanting some evidence that next year won't be a repeat.

I don't understand your obsession with the roster. If you are that afraid then accept the offer somewhere else.

The truth is you have absolutely no idea what these guys will do next year, or if they will even be here. As far as I know they have never run a lemonade stand, let alone a soccer club. My biggest concern is that they waste my money, or ask me for tons more once they realize they can't accomplish the 20,000 promises they made for $3,600. A professional soccer team ran this DA like crap, so why would I think 2 girls soccer coaches are going to do any better. Focus your energy on the bigger picture. Jump off the cliff or don't.

That is a fair concern but that doesn’t mean it is fair as an expectation that a coach will provide rolling updates of acceptances.

I mean realistically what are the odds that the roster will be better, worse or the same? If they are on the team they know the general talent level already.

If they asked their kids they would know how many new faces have shown up and how good they are.

The questions really are:

Has there been any significant departures?

Have any significant outsiders arrived?

No one said rolling updates. I want ANY update. There is nothing, zero, zip.

I think the biggest problem with the entire club is overall technical deficiency. That’s why they can’t control the ball, win the 50/50s or score. We are not staying. My daughter has great technical skills and they aren’t put to use here. And the girls I know they like and are getting offers, their parents may be nice and have worked the coaches, but these are some of the girls who consistently don’t pass, loose the ball and are part of the me vs team mentality. I can’t waste another year here.
