Because if she testifies that she and Obama had discussions about his role in this, he's going down too. Only thing is, she is so tied to the hip to him, that there is no way she will expose him. I'm sure she'd rather go to jail.

This article doesn't explain anything. if you are familiar with the intelligence regulations, there are very limited and specifically listed instances when the names of the US citizen subject to the collateral gathering of information can be unmasked. Yes, it is can be done, but only in a specific cases. The whole issue is whether Rice had the reason to unmask these names or was it done to gain some political advantage. The article keep repeating that she didn't do anything wrong, but at the same time does not provide the reason why in this particular case the names of the US cit were revealed. Which raises the questions other journalists are asking. So far, Rise was not able to provide any legitimate answer, other than her double negative blob.

I never said she is stupid. She is smart. But in this situation, she has a lot of to cover. Instead of coming up with a simple explanation: yes, these American citizens were umasked because the conversation was related to the national security threats (or any other reason to justify unmasking). However, she didn't do that. I think she was worry not to say something damaging, and blurbed that "I leaked nothing to nobody".

How do you know that there are "two to three trolls" here? I, for example, just posted above - and it's the first time I participated in this thread. Again, that's a danger with the leftist thinking. They run into opposing views and figure it's only from "two or three trolls," failing to recognize how popular the opposing view really is. That's why you were so shocked that Trump won. You forgot the third, more likely, option: she's going to tell the truth which is that one or more members of the Trump team were caught talking to Russia about cooperation and that conversation CAUSED their names to be unmasked so the US could know who it was, and they'll be dead to rights. People. This is what happened. It is ridiculous and ignorant to pretend otherwise.

Leaking and unmasking are two different things. AGAIN, Susan Rice did her job. You are attempting to deflect off of the real issue - people in the campaign were having inappropriate contact and conversations with Foreign Agents that WERE UNDER INVESTIGATION.

BECAUSE UNMASKING =/= LEAKING

she isn't lying when she says she didn't leak the name. Someone else did after they told the Trump team about Flynn and they did nothing. That was NOT leaked by Rice. She's not denying the routine unmasking which was normal and within her job description. She's denying the LEAKING of the names to the media.
