Yet no one here wants to hold them accountable because they were black. Which is why they knew they could get away with it. And when a black man stands up to defend his neighborhood and the officers, he's shouted down as a liar. The inability of people not to see this objectively is astounding.

And this is where the main problem lies-you have lawbreakers who cry racism every time they are reprimanded by the police (or they cry police brutality if they are the same race as the officer). Yes, police can be jerks, and trigger happy and even excessive with force, but you have a society of people and teens who are so disrespectful and think the law does not apply to them, Parents need to stop acting like entitled assholes, and their teens need to be taught the same. There are two young black boys in the video who were told to sit and they complied-the cop was ok with them-he even went over to them and explained as a mentor or father would, why they were in trouble and made to sit, I do not think this was a racial issue-it was a situation that could have easily turned into a mob riot-tons of kids thinking that laws and rules do not apply to them, and a few cops trying to control the situation. The girl that was taken down deserved it-she refused to leave and was running her mouth in a disrespectful manner-had she just complied, nothing would have happened to her, As for the cop pulling his gun, he had every right to do so after being rushed from behind by two teens-one of whom looked as if he was reaching into his pocket, People need to take responsibility for their behavior, if the race card is pulled every time a lawbreaker gets caught, or "mistreated: by the police, there may as well be no laws or police-just let these people run amuck doing as they please. That girls mother should whip her ass for behaving the way she did. The cop was just doing his job. I only wish the cops sent to that scene were black-then what would the excuse be?

Well said, except the last sentence. They would make up some excuse, have no doubt about it.

Yep, all black folks are untrained, uncouth aggressive, law breaking animals. They do not parent, don't go to school and don't obey the law. All the millions of black folks in america are all the same. Now, white people, they are all different, as a whole they never do anything wrong and are all just perfect.

Which is it Willie Lynch, black folks can be trusted or they cannot be trusted -- you are contradicting yourself.
Oh- and we did not miss the irony of bolded statement

You tell me. You all are the one making this about race rather than a mother and daughter breaking HOA regs

Do you honestly think that this whole business was about broken HOA regs? WOW. Way to completely miss the whole point.

you mention race all over your post, but I am making it about race. Your circular arguments do not help you make your case unless you are trying to prove how ridiculous you can sound.

For example, many black folks are very well educated and read well. You clearly don't read well.

No, I saw her there in the background of the video that was originally posted. She was watching gleefully as innocent children were being accosted.

Hm, it seems that the people who were there made it about race. It started with a black teen having the audacity to have a pool party. It went to white and black teens having fun together at a pool party that became too crowed. It escalated to a white adult woman screaming racial epithets at teenagers and hitting a black teenage girl. Other adults had to pull her away. It escalated to a crazed white police officer attacking black teens, and bypassing white teens at this overcrowded event. It ended with a white teenager Making the video and posting it online. But, we are making it about race. LOL. It seems that race was there from the start. I can only hope that the kids partying together at the pool, black and white, are more representative of the future in race relations. And not their bigot parents and elders posting on DCUM.

Reposting the interview with the boy who filmed the video, in case anyone missed it. He clearly states that the officer skipped over him, but made all the black kids get down. He also looks visibly upset as he talks about how they were treated. He says he also found out about the party on Twitter, suggesting that the pool crashes were not all AA.

Of course, this is 'he said, she said' at this point--but it offers a different perspective on how events transpired from the AA McKinney resident.

That is was is so courageous about this boy. He recognized his White privelege and continued to document his friends being targeted and harassed all because they were Black. They all came together, but only his Black friends got into trouble, while he was free to roam and and film like he was invisible.

You really are unable to see reality objectively. The girl WAS complying. She was walking away and the cop didn't like what she had to say so he chased her down and tackled her.

I just watched and rewatched the video and no, the kid did not look like he was reaching into his pocket--he was pulling up his trunks and the cop did not have his eyes on him anyway. Those kids saw a cop hurting their cousin and tried to help her. Instinct.

The cop was absolutely wrong to pull his gun instead of his mace, taser, or baton, and the other cops know this which is why they rush in and stop the whole thing.

This is a fourteen year old teenager who has a mouth like any other other fourteen year old teenager, but in the end is just a kid who calls out for her mother. The fact that anyone can continue to defend the action sof the police because some kids trespassed baffles me.

The behavior is what I expect form teens. I absolutely do not expect or want that kind of behavior from my LEOs. Why are you so willing to accept it? Because it hasn't happened to you?

Maybe because it will never happen to me-I have been stopped by asshole cops-aggressive ones on a power trio (as well a nicer ones)-the bottom line is if you are polite and compliant, there will be no trouble-this holds true for every race. Who the fuck curses at an officer, especially a kid? I think if their parent's have not taught them basic respect for authority, [/b]then they get what they sdeserve from an angry cop!

Welcome to the USSR.

Nope, welcome to the Broken Windows approach that was first implemented in NYC and then, given huge reduction in violent crime, replicated across the country.

If you have a better approach to deal with thugs and thugs-in-training, why don't you test it out in Baltimore. They seem to need one. And, if successful, I can promise you it'd be quickly implemented by scores of police departments.

If you really want to see thugs in training just attend an SAE frat party.

She and her mother should be charged-and hopefully kicked out of their home for violating every rule in the book. They took a nice quiet neighborhood and turned it to an unsafe, chaotic shithole.

Good point. I don't believe they can (or should) be kicked out, but certainty deserve a heavy fine and losing all communal privileges for a while.

I think the HOA can sue the homeowner for liability and damages

True, but not clear what the physical damages were in this case. I don't think the HOA can sue for the death threats they are receiving and other "intangibles."

Has the racist white woman's face been posted anywhere? She needs to be outed and embarrassed for displaying such disgusting behavior towards children.

I've seen pics and info of someone said to be the white woman in question in my FB feed. Not sue if it's the right person. It says she's a home loan officer for a national bank.

For all we know, she was protecting her little kids in her own community pool from the invading mob of dozens of non-neighborhood teens.

Give her a break.
