Game of Thrones

I am happy that Jon is revived. I was pretty sure that it would happen, so the fact that he is back is not the interesting part; it is how he may be different now and how he will proceed. Will he go kick Ramsey's disgusting ass?

Also enjoyed Tyrion's interaction with the dragons and the fact that they let him unchain them.

I think that might be the worst segment in the whole series.

It is the "please" that matters in that moment.... in season three Thoros had lost his faith completely and just wanted to save his friend, the words were the same.

I'm fairly certain this is how it will happen in the books. Like many readers, I think R+L=J, so it would make sense if they burn him and he comes out 'unburnt.'

For the show - there was literally no other reason to have Melisandre at the wall, so not really shocked that Jon is alive again.

Well I'm not saying Melisandre shouldn't have been involved I'm just saying after she made an attempt something more dramatic could've happened.

besides the reveal that he had been warging into Ghost the whole time he was dead? I found that pretty compelling!

BTW what was the legend about the king of the white walkers and some ice queen / witch?

Wights can't speak. Beric Dondarian could after being resurrected by Thoros of Myr, so I would assume Jon will be able to speak.

But Jon has been dead for longer than Berric was, so maybe he won't be able to? There is some evidence in the books to support this, that someone who has been dead for longer may not be quite the same when resurrected.

Lady Stoneheart can't speak because the Freys cut her throat. But in the books Thoros resurrects Beric and Beric resurrected Catelyn with a "kiss" by breathing in fire and breathing it out into the moth of the dead person. That would have been much more dramatic to show on TV than some hair-cutting!!

well, there were parts in the book that was hinted at a lot more heavily. But the fact that he didn't wake until Ghost did made it seem obvious to me, also there was some discussion on another site about how Ghost was the runt of the litter and never howled, was mainly silent- until Jon's death. The book really goes into how all the Stark children are potentially wargs, so I think book readers were all but expecting this, last night was the first time the show alluded to it.

Someone who can inhabit the body of animals/someone else. Like Bran does.

I think Tyrion adds great comic belief. He's my fav.

I've read the books, but to me the scene in the show didn't allude to him being a warg, just that Ghost is very attuned to him. The books make it seem like the Stark children are all wargs on a sliding scale, from Sansa at one end (who also appears to be the most Tully of the children) to Bran, who can warg into people. I don't recall the books ever mentioning that anyone other than Bran can intentionally warg. Jon and Arya both have dreams, but don't really understand what is happening. I guess he could have warged into Ghost without realizing the way Bran got kicked out of Summer when Summer was hit with the arrow? Other than warging in dreams, though, do we have evidence that you warg into an animal you can't see?

I like him too. But he is also a sort of tragic hero. I just reread his sections in Book 5, and I feel so sad for him. He is haunted by what happened to his first wife, and I don't see how it can ever be made right. I kind of hope he ends up back with a newly mature Sansa, and that she can appreciate his kindness and at least distract him from his misery.

I knew I remembered some kind of fire kiss! I was expecting Melisandre to take her clothes off and climb on top of Jon for a fire kiss, because Melisandre always takes her clothes off, and she's tried to get naked with Jon before.

But beyond the inability to speak, Lady Stoneheart is a bit...touched. From what I remember, the books seem to indicate that part of the reason for this was her being dead for a few days. Beric also eventually lost much of himself dying so many times.

I kept wanting Melisandre to turn to the others in the room and say, "Cutting his hair has nothing to do with the spell. I just don't like his hair."

I LOVED Davos's speech to get her to try. "Well, f*ck him, then...I'm asking the woman who made believe in miracles." But then again, I just like Davos. He is one of the few good and honorable characters, like Ned Stark was.

I love the actor that plays Tyrion! He's been in a lot of things including Elf, and both the American and British versions of Death at a Funeral. The American version made me bust out laughing. I don't have that reaction often. He is so drool in GoT. I love it.

Eeek don't spoil Stoneheart! They may still do that on the show!
