Fire in upper NW?

Where are you getting this information? My child knew the child and is already reeling from the whole thing. If it's true the child was tied up, I need to be prepared to help my child process yet another horrible detail. Are you just speculating or do you know this?

I was wondering the same. Where are you reading this? I have not seen this detail anywhere.

I'm sure they're speculating. Gosh PP I'm really sorry for your son and for you. I have no idea how you'd handle it. When I was a little kid a girl in my neighborhood (Lake Braddock) was kidnapped and murdered. My parents didn't talk to us about it and I guess it was to protect us from the details. But I think it would have helped us to have more information. Otherwise you're just scared of the unknown. I'm sure there's no right or wrong way to handle it but I hope that your son finds some peace.

I know i'll get flamed for this but--the killer(s) was foreign . I think this was definitely a personal, premeditated slaughter carried out by someone with a foreign background. Killing the whole family-including a man's only son--it was an act of rage old world style rage. The stabbing, the fire--all very eastern european-russo-turk style retribution.

Can also be very latin americxan-these type of excecutions are commonplace in El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala etc..... Look to the surviving maid and her cohorts-they are the likely culprits.

I would gather that the family had a safe in the home and the maid who was not there knew it-she had her relatives/friends commit the crime and they held te family hostage in order to open the safe/steal valuables. They then killed everyone and set the fire to cover up the crime. The surviving maid did not want to be identified on TV and she seemed very cold during the interview (she spoke but face was covered). She said that the dead maid told her she wanted to retire as she did not want to work there forever. just seems weird.

The comments that say it was the mother or the housekeeper are revolting. Did you see that absolutely lovely pic of the mom with her son?

This is 13:00. I don't understand. Are you saying I shouldn't ask whether this has been officially said somewhere so that I know what I'm dealing with? There are a lot of kids who are hurting right now and I don't understand why I deserve to be bitch slapped for trying to get ahead of the information they might hear. Would you explain?

Not pp, but it was either shared at yesterday's press conference or published by a credible source. The police chief did release a few more details -- blunt force to all and sharp wounds. (Although I think only three had sharp wounds.)

Thank you PP. I assume it is awful speculation. As someone else who has had to explain to their child how something so horrific could happen to a friend, I have a hard time believing that anyone in a position to know if that were true would also be sensitive enough not to post here about it.

I have wondered the same and that would be more disturbing.

I also wonder about the housekeeper. Just an odd coincidence?

What about the lawn company?

Yeah, she's involved in that she was also killed.

Why is most of the empathy in this thread expressed towards the wealthy, and most of the suspicion toward the employee? I bet she just had the bad luck to be there when the attackers came.

No, read what the PP said. They think the housekeeper that WASN'T there was involved. The one that received the ominous text message. There were two housekeepers. One was among the murdered.

I agree that the other housekeeper should be investigated. Maybe she was jealous of the other housekeeper - the one that spent the night in the house.

Absolutely. The only thing keeping loyal domestic employees from green lighting
A professional style hit on an entire family is her place as #1 maid. .. Sarcasm
aside, you think a maid who feels she is second fiddle would have her long time
Employer and family murdered because of her ego? A maid is the last person who
would base her worth on her occupation. What does this jealousy stem from? This
is a condescending and silly theory.

Have you forgotten what happened to the Krims?

PP, you're awful. Really. Is all this funny to you? Glad you could put in a snark?

There is a huge difference between a psychotic Nanny who hears voices commiting
murder spontaneously and this well planned incident. This wasn't done in the heat of
the moment. And that maid is being investigated I'm sure but isn't some godfather
Moonlighting as a part time maid. The people responsible were professionals. Not vengeful maids with an ax to grind.
