Fire in upper NW?

Yeah, she's involved in that she was also killed.

Why is most of the empathy in this thread expressed towards the wealthy, and most of the suspicion toward the employee? I bet she just had the bad luck to be there when the attackers came.

No, read what the PP said. They think the housekeeper that WASN'T there was involved. The one that received the ominous text message. There were two housekeepers. One was among the murdered.

I agree that the other housekeeper should be investigated. Maybe she was jealous of the other housekeeper - the one that spent the night in the house.

Oy. Yes, I would be terribly jealous of my coworkers who had to sleep at the workplace.

Man, your imagination runs pretty wild.

Personally I'm convinced it was Adnan Sayed and the housekeeper text is the famous Nisha call.

No, police are reporting that three of the four victims had injuries.

I thought they were reporting that 3/4 had died of injuries before the fire. The fact that one died of the fire doesn't make him/her the arsonist/murderer. It's possible that there is good reason for them to know that person wasn't the cause, and that's why they're declaring all 4 deaths were homicide. Maybe the 4th person were knocked unconscious before the fire, but actually died from the fire, or maybe it's the child and it's clear he died in his sleep of smoke inhalation, and was spared knowing what was going on. That's what I'm personally hoping for.

Had to sleep at the workplace? No one has to do anything.

But they had two housekeepers, which even in DC is excessive. I could easily see a family eliminating the live-out housekeeper for the more convenient (and likely less-expensive) live-in. I'm sure it's hard to believe that a domestic worker would want to live with their family, but it happens all the time.

Don't be so judgmental. You know nothing about this family (or do you?)

I really doubt it was jealousy, but I'd still look into the other housekeeper as id look into anyone else in the family life who might know their routine. This includes the lawn mowing company who was at their home Thursday morning or any relatives of the 2 housekeepers with criminal histories, who could have unbeknownst to the housekeepers, targeted the family as a robbery.

People on here are saying it could be familial but I don't understand that given all the family are dead and someone drove away in their Porsche then set it on fire.

It could be as simple as a burglary by people who have no regard for life. They could have driven one of the family members to an atm while someone else held the others at home hostage, then taken the same Porsche when leaving. This happened to someone I know on Capitol Hill, though the perpetrators did not kill the couple, they did rape the wife. There are evil people out there.

If anyone hears of a public vigil, can you please post here? My heart aches for this family and the girls left behind.

I thinks it's business related. Not family. Not housekeeper. Not landscaper. Some sort of bad business deal gone sour. This was revenge.

Absolutely. The only thing keeping loyal domestic employees from green lighting
A professional style hit on an entire family is her place as #1 maid. .. Sarcasm
aside, you think a maid who feels she is second fiddle would have her long time
Employer and family murdered because of her ego? A maid is the last person who
would base her worth on her occupation. What does this jealousy stem from? This
is a condescending and silly theory.

The adults were the ones slain. I believe the boy was tied up and died from smoke inhalation.

There's a level of closeness after being with the same family so long. Murdering them and their child out of spite is a ridiculous theory. She watched all of their children grow up.

Is there any connection between this and the Rockville murders last weekend?

This is not the PP and I do not believe it was the housekeeper. However, the housekeeper described as "long term" is the one who perished along with the family. The other housekeeper is not described as long term.
