Two huge blasts rock Boston Marathon finish line

Besides the people identified, there was a group who murdered a Jewish talk show host about 20 years ago. Operation Rescue and Operation Save America regularly threaten, harass, and injure, and murder abortion providers and their support staff. They are very concerned with God and the flag. Patriots' Day is an important day to them. Yesterday was the legal holiday for Patriots' Day in MA.

Left wing domestic groups include Earth First!, PETA, ALF, ELF and others. They tend to target animal research facilities, property developers, and car lots. They cause a lot of property damage, but not as much murder and mayhem. Lone left wing actors can be murderous though. The Unabomber was left wing terrorism. The guy that shot up the Discovery Channel building was left wing terrorism. The guy that shot up the Family Research Council was left wing.

Saying this looks like right wing terrorism isn't an indictment of the GOP or the Tea Party. Given the day, it's a reasonable suspicion. If someone sets a lot full of SUVs on fire or murders someone over climate change or spikes trees to maim the loggers cutting them, I'd look to the left.

I agree for the most part, however the left was very violent and was responsible for terrorist acts that killed many until the 1980s (around the world). Terrorism was a leftist ideology. There are still left wing terrorist groups causing murder and mayhem around the world, just not recently in the US.

I like the fingerprint id on Global Entry but think all should have the shoes/belts/laptops off or scanned as standard. Just because some one has no record does not mean they are not a nut job. Same thing for this knives on planes. And why does Global Entry only cost $100?

That was my first thought. Some gun nut annoyed that his "rights" might be slightly minimized, making the point that there are other more deadly weapons.

The bigots don't believe in facts and will still have their conspiracy theories, but the 20 year old Saudi student has been cleared:

" Late Monday night, law enforcement officials descended on an apartment building in the suburb of Revere, about five miles north of Copley Square, linked to a man the police took into custody near the scene of the bombings. But on Tuesday morning, one law enforcement official said investigators had determined that the man, who was injured in the blast and was questioned at the hospital, was not involved in the attack. This reminds me of an IRA type bombing. The IRA in Boston? Could be.

If you have pictures of video from the scene or nearby yesterday, or know someone who does, the FBI would like to see them to help identify who was in the area and find out who did it.

The three yellow balloons that float up after bomb is very sad and it's scary that three have died so far.

I doubt it. It's more like foreshadowing.

Here's an update on the young man in the photo that was posted above with links. He's recovering from surgery. Both legs were amputated. He had another surgery to treat fluid in his abdomen.

That poor man. I've been thinking of him all day.

Thank you for the update. So glad he survived, and I hope the surgeries allow him to improve.

Nice try again. I hope Jeff is logging all the IPs of these lame attempts at misdirection.
