It depends on the day of the week. On this hot and humid Saturday, it's the reverse. Yes, definitely the reverse. |
My DH wants to let our DS's hair grow into a mullet. Will this hurt our chances of getting into Bouvier? Will it make any difference we live in Rockville? |
Yikes. Spelling it wrong could hurt your chances! |
All this talk about cut-off dates for 10 year olds reminded to ask: does anyone know if DCPS (Lafayette specifically) allows highly gifted dogs with summer birthdays to start on time? Or do they have to wait until they're almost 18 months older than the other kids (and Labs)?
I have one of each (a kid, and a Lab) and I shudder think of my small-for-her-age DD in the same class with bored, rambunctious, larger dogs whose owners are just gaming the system. TIA! |
A bad speller, with a mullett, from Rockville? Check out GDS. They are the school that truly embraces diversity. |
Nope, meant Bouvier, like as in Jackie O. Duh. |
My DS is turning 1 and I am debating between getting a pony, the Great Zucchini, a moon bounce, a magician, and a petting zoo OR
just an Ace of Cakes cake, the band, Milkshake, a slip-n-slide, tie-dying, and a visit by Mayor Fenty & the Wiggles. He is now saying "da-wee-doo-soo-ah" (meaning something, I'm sure) & so I'd like to reward her for her behavior. If it makes any difference, we have a 1 bedroom condo in Glover Park, my son does not have a mullett & we have no plans to invite immediate family since they prob wouldn't fit with everything else there. We plan on requesting guests bring a canned good for people in Rockville so that my son does not become too materialistic. |
What are exmissions like at Bouvier? |
Exmissions are tuff. Kids must be abel to recite the book "What Would Jackie Do?", in addishun to balancing a pillbox hat on thur heads while riding on the backseat of a convudable. We praktissed for munths! |
Joke all you want. Going to Bouvier would definitely give you an in when your DC applies to the Kennedy School at Harvard 16 or so years down the road. |
I need to post on a serious topic. I know some of the readers on this board are anti-guns. Well, let's take a stance against the real killer.
Please join us on September 11th on the National Mall for an Anti-Car rally. This is sure to be a historic step in banning these killing machines from our country. Do your part, be there to support the cause. |
My 2 year old passed gas during his interview at Aidan, and we were immediately escorted from the building. Do you think this means that we won't be accepted? Should I wite a letter of apology to the school? |
Deny everything. Do they have a picture or videotape of the incident? Eyewitnesses? Did your DC admit to it? Where is the due process? What happened to presumption of innocence. Deny, deny, deny. |
Help! Queenie is back in my life and has asked that I pay her for the privilege of having her DS over for "playdates" at my house! I don't want to rock the boat, so I've agreed instead to provide nutritious, organic snacks handmade by me in addition to paying for her gas to/from work. Anyone know of how I can get out of this?
Also, she wants me to start paying her mortgage and setting aside money for her DS' preschool tuition. She wants to refinish her entire home with an interior designer and needs her money for that. Finally, she asked that I come over each evening to make dinner and clean up for her and her kids. I politely asked if I could bring over my DD and she flatly said no. Anyone know how I can handle this woman? I don't want to upset the entire network of friends we have! |
This is a little off-topic, but I am seeking legal advice because I wish to separate from and then divorce my husband (ssn #123-45-6789). Even though we've been having issues, he has no clue that we're going to divorce and I am sure that no one on this 6000 strong list will disabuse him of that notion. Any advice about achieving 100% custody and 100% alimony appreciated. Yours, Jane EasilyRecognizedName Doe @ 555-1212 |
