Common baby names you dislike

Bentley. I don't understand why someone would name their son Bentley.

I know there's more, but they escape my memory at the moment.

Surprised no one has mentioned Crystal/Krystel/Krystal/Kristal/Cristal yet. I get a definite image in my head when I hear that name.

Dylan and Dakota, or Harold and Conrad?

You must know the same people I know, parents to Dylan and Dakota.

Well, I guess Grayson is a real name since it is my son's name. I've met a few other boy Grayson and a few girl Greyson/Graysyn.

Do you live here in Leesburg, or in Des Moines, IA?

One of my favorites!

Me, too!! Lovely.

Cannot believe my son's name has not appeared yet.

Kaitlyn in all its variations is way overdone.

Ugly old lady names: Emma, Ruth, Bonnie, etc.

Hooker names spelled weird: Tiffani, etc.

I met a Maclaren recently. Seriously? After a stroller? I like the name - but not after every Tom, Dick, and Harry have a stroller emblazoned with the name on it.

I also dislike Gunner very much.....

I'm sure I'll think of some more groaners to post....

Does anyone really name their kid Gunner? If you do, beware you will get laughed at by anyone who ever went to law school. It's a slur name for the douchebags that shoot their hand up in class to answer every question.

I am surprised that someone thinks Emma is an "ugly old lady name"....it is a little over done these days, however, I still think it is lovely! (In fact, we would have used Emma bc it is a family name but did not want something quite so popular.)

No repeating my name a million times because people can't say it I know a lot of Asian/half Asian people that have one name be traditional Asian (from whatever country) and the other be "American". I'm curious if people of other cultures do this? Why not give your kid the impossible to pronounce Gaelic name as a middle?

Because we name the child based on OUR wishes and not thinking about pleasing others.

What about pleasing your poor kid??

It's also similar in spelling to the name of a sports car:

Why do you think I named DS Bob? No need for vanity plates now. I'm thinking of naming DD Bugaboo.
