As an Indian (100% on both sides of my family) I’m appalled by what Israel is doing to Palestinians.

India has a long history of supporting the Palestinians. Gandhi and Nehru, our founders, vehemently opposed the partition of Palestine and saw the parallels of the two countries under bcolonial rule.

We voted in 1947 against the UN partition plan for Palestine. India was the first non-Arab state to recognize the Palestinian Liberation Org (PLO) in 1974 and a Palestine state in 1988.

Please don’t make announcements as “the Indian” in this conversation if you don’t know what the heck you’re talking about. And I’m not sure if you got the memo, but MAGA hates all H-1B visa holders.

So happens we went out for lunch today for our monthly get together. We are a real mix of personalities. Of the 8 of us, 2 are Jewish the rest are mixed religions. Exactly. This entire conversation underscores just how dehumanized Palestinians are that someone could feel “attacked” that another person is upset that Israel is mass slaughtering, maiming, displacing and starving them. Where did you get that from? They're not allowed to determine ancestry in the context of the right of return, it's not like they're banned. But also, if someone told you that most Americans weren't white, would you immediately ask about genetic testing, or would you assume, IDK, there was a Census?
