Let's move the decimal place here. Even at historically established football powerhouses like Mater De, Bosco, Aquinas, etc, their players have a <1% chance of making it to the NFL.

Let's take IMG for example since they have the most amount of active players in the NFL. IMG started playing football in 2013. They currently have 21 active NFL players and 31 players ever drafted. Let's UNDER exaggerate and say that every year they have at least 100 kids in the football program across their multiple teams (they have far more). So 1200 athletes in 12 years, only 31 made the NFL. That's roughly 2.5%...

No way STJ's current roster 5xs the odds.

Good Counsel had a far more difficult schedule than any of the Virginia teams you are talking about. Those teams probably wouldn’t come out on the winning end if they had to face Good Counsel. Look at what happened when Oscar Smith played Gonzaga.

And most NFL players were only 2 or 3 stars in high school. Five stars make up about .01% of the NFL. There is far too much transformation that needs to occur to tell if a high school kid will make it to the NFL. However, the two kids I know that play for Saint James dominate the way a future NFL player would’ve when they played high school football.

Half the teams they played no one has ever heard of. Besides Hun, a bad Good Counsel team, and the absolute ass kicking they got from SFA… who did they actually play that was formidable? I mean honestly, you think a first year LSA is good? Hewlitt was 1-8. The First Academy was 5-5 and only beat 3 teams with a winning record. St. Thomas Moore is ranked 143rd in Connecticut lmao.

Yes, I agree that SFA, the PRIVATE Baltimore powerhouse, would destroy any PUBLIC school in Virginia. Would they beat Dematha 35-0? Probably not, but that’s opinion.

What other measurement do I want? None. The measurements that matter for ranking work for me (MaxPreps having them 6th in VA and not even top 100 in USA). The measurements the matter for player rankings on ESPN & 247 (that show ZERO players as 4 or 5 stars) work for me.
