They care. Speaks and Urick heard about it from Shriver.

Didn't SJC go to one of the NHSLS sessions?

Hmm, how about the Landon ‘25 defender who just committed to UPenn. In 2023 he was a bench warmer at Prep. In one year he went from bench warmer at Prep to starting at Landon and committing to UPenn. Prep may need to reevaluate their coaching. How many other kids have they looked over?

So the Prep coaching staff decides to play in a showcase hosted by one of their bigger DMV rivals, St Johns. A SJC program that now has a few GP alums on its roster.

Prep is playing some type of fee to play in the Atlantic Showcase which likely goes into Speeks back pocket and to help fund the Cadets program.

Again... it makes you question how smart the GP coaching staff really is.

NHSLS attracts more collegiate coaches than whatever this showcase Military road is putting on.

Prep will struggle next Spring.

Which Prep alums?

He was told he would never start at GP hence why he and his brother jumped ship over to Landon.

Landon coaching is very solid as they took an above average player and really helped him elevate his game

100%. At the same time, there are some average coaches in the IAC and WCAC

Might be referring to junior middie. Big GP name but not sure if dad went there. There are quite a few related families in Bethesda.

Landon's biggest edge is coaching. They have so many many coaches on campus and have clearly committed to it. That's why "down" years see them still a top 4-5 team.

I don't think Prep, SJC, or Bullis have anywhere near the number of lacrosse coaches full time at the schools.

DuFor is a prominent Prep family whose boy is rising star at SJC.

Congrats to the Landon D-man going to UPenn. He was sharp last year. Imo as good as a d-man I saw. Any top program would be lucky to have this player.

Amazing news! Great for the young man, Landon and DC lacrosse.

He should be at Prep, not SJC.

Didn't want to sit 2 years. He was on the field as a freshman.

He picked his high school for playing time. Funny.

Good for the Landon kid. Question is, what was Prep thinking? Bad coaching.
