NP Most Republican voters use birth control and support it. Most Republican voters oppose abortion and have been fighting to ban it for decades. Overturning of Roe was not surprising to anyone who was paying attention. This is just a scare tactic by the Dems. There of course are fringe extremists who want to ban birth control but most Republicans do not. Just like there are some Democrats who really want to abolish ICE and the police but most do not. |
The billionaire and corporate owners of the major media outlets indeed have a vested interest in getting the GOP back in to power. |
Sorry. Stop with the gaslighting. Blackburn recently reiterated her belief that griswold is “constitutionally unsound”. Kellyanne Conway also continues to protest too much. |
Maybe read the thread and the links in it. |

But unlike the Democrats, the fringe republicans who want.to ban birth control and all abortions have taken over the GOP. |
This. The idea that we have this liberal mainstream media is a fallacy and has been for some time. No matter what might be going right, they will cover Biden in a negative light. The media is owned by people who believe they can benefit from Trump and don't care what a nightmare Trump will really be for this country. |
They will care when they get blacklisted for reporting incorrectly. But it’ll be too late then |

I mean, they are literally talking about it. Trump was just talking about it - incoherently, of course, with a slippery position. But Rs are talking about doing this. Did you think they were going to stop with abortion? Ha ha ha ha ha. |
oh stfu with the “scare tactic” line. people like you were equally claiming it was a “scare tactic” that states would outlaw abortion post-Row. |
Here's a school recording female students monthly periods! Big Brother is everywhere. https://l.smartnews.com/p-5mA8u/aMILr7 |
Nope, this is central to the GOP. Maybe the party has left you without you realizing it? |
Some people’s unquestioned, knee jerk support of the GOP is really going to bite them. |
If "most Republican voters use birth control and support it," why have recent efforts by state legislatures throughout the US to codify the right of access to contraception been unsuccessful? "According to the Guttmacher Institute, an abortion-rights research group, lawmakers in 27 states during this legislative session introduced more than 59 bills and proposed constitutional amendments that would codify the right to access contraception. Only the Democratic-controlled Virginia Legislature was able to pass legislation that would have codified the right to contraception in the state constitution." (Youngkin vetoed the bill). https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/4683027-birth-control-political-battleground/ In addition, the GOP is defining the morning after pill as an abortificant even though women take it to prevent pregnancy rather than to terminate a pregnancy, so that is an example of limiting access to contraception. |
