Because they want women at home and pregnant in their “correct” sphere. It’s part of MAGA. Remember that MAGA wants everyone back in the 1950s when women had no identity beyond their husbands.

Back when America was truly exceptional. Those were the best years for white heterosexual men this country.

Agreed. But why are republicans who are women, POC, LGBTQ voting for the GOP then? How could even the most mommy centered, I want my husband to take of me and to focus on my home not want to be an individual with a unique identity? I honestly can’t see what POC and LGBTQ find to support. The economy is not it because we have a strong economy now, but even if you can’t believe that, what does it matter if the economy is strong if you’re meaningfully excluded from it.

Once you’re done hyperventilating you will realize that nothing you mentioned affects the women, POC, or LGBTQ GOP supporters. In fact, they support these concepts of traditional American values regardless of how you think the GOP will treat them. You are all brainwashed.

Access to birth control most assuredly affects women. Men too, actually.

And what are these “traditional American values”? That’s such a dog whistle to take us all back to Father Knows Best.

Don't despair fellow Dems--at least not just yet. The legislation was an attempt to get Republicans on the record opposing efforts to protect access to brith control since the GOP is struggling with messaging on reproductive rights. The Republicans played right into the Dem's hands.

He’s a leading light of the GOP. They honestly think he’s one of their deep thinkers.

This is a great example of the GOP’s strategy. If they get in office, birth control will be made illegal, and any “exceptions” will be farcical. OP.

One step closer to Gilead.

Based on a few of the pps on this site, they’re excited for it. All the incels think this means they’ll be able to get a girlfriend, all the angry old magas think their families will magically be driven back under their patriarchal protection… they’re hoping for a Talibangelical win.

You all are nuts. Birth control is not a fundamental right.

Well, all those incels that aren’t getting “any” now, will be getting a whole lot less if birth control is outlawed. What woman would want to take their chances with one of those losers!?

🎶Because women aren’t people in the GOP🎶

And the women who support this are pitiful. They'd probably support female circumcision if were a practice here in the US, insisting it must be done for purity to please future husbands and throw it that it's what God wants.
