Thanks to Coach Tuberville the following positions in US Central Command are not filled. You know, just in case our military needs to be ready.

deputy commander of CENTCOM
reserve vice commander of CENTCOM
deputy commander of CENTCOM naval forces
deputy commander of CENTCOM air forces
deputy director of strategy, plans and policy for CENTCOM
commanders of U.S. air wings based in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates

Also, thanks to Matt Gaetz and his fellow MAGAs, the US Congress has no ability to respond.

Occupiers have no rights. Stand with Palestine.

Read your history.

Palestinians are the occupiers.

Land was Israel And Judea 2000 BC, Joe to the Jewish people.

After many centuries of extermination and war by Romans, Turks, Ottomans, the Jewish population there withered as they were forced to move to places like Europe. There was still a sizable population of Jewish people in modern day Israel.

So the Jewish people were there first. Long before Arabs and 2500 years before Islam.

Read you history.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Israel

So?
That is history
Should we reinstate the borders of the ancient Roman Empire and return America to original inhabitants?

Heck the Etruscans and Greeks would have more rights to much of the land than the Romans. Long live the Etruscans and Greeks! Maybe the Egyptians as well?

Actually, the cavemen were here first…or perhaps the apes? Not sure where you draw the line.

My two cents: we have maps. They show borders. Let’s just agree to stick with the lines.

Better yet: let’s agree to be better. Imagine a world where everyone agreed to basic civil and human rights. A live and let live world of tolerance and equality.

I think we need to reflect upon how defending antisocial religious and cultural norms has allowed dangerous beliefs and behavior to flourish. The effects are horrific.

It's a fair point and I only pointed it out for its reductio ad absurdum. I guess the real and pragmatic question is where do you draw the line in terms of where one state's sovereignty starts and another's ends? At today's lines? Yesterday's? Last year's? Last century's? You get the drift.

Easy: you use today’s lines.

Russia invaded Ukraine. Period. The map showed clear borders. It’s silly to go back in history to argue over who gets what. That’s how you end up with turning everything over to the cavemen …

It’s 2023 and let’s face it: civilized nations and educated people have evolved beyond blind religious faith. The countries and (more specifically) people who continue to fuel violence are religious nut jobs and/or those who cling to medieval notions of subjugating women and/or certain subgroups to a less than status. It’s not cool, yet we somehow let them continue under the auspices of culture or religion and the end result is horrible.

Primary fault lays with Gaza terrorists.

The sad truth that this is also the secondary fault of Bibi’s voters. And they are the ones getting massacred in their homes and kidnapped. Bibi left them vulnerable, like sitting ducks. In no way should Hamas have been able to overrun the entire 40 mile border with Israel. Massive blunder of epic proportions at the hands of Bibi and his crew.

Eh, I blame Hamas.

PS - Go ask your mom about who is to blame. Hint: it’s the aggressor who strikes first.

In all these decades, they have demonstrated no will or capacity to govern effectively for the benefit of the people. Palestinians are despised everywhere in the region - Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia. They have no allies left except the Iranians.

This morning I watched Hamas massacre families in their homes and in their cars. I have seen Israeli women abducted and taken into Gaza. I have seen one Israeli woman, naked, obviously dead, all her limbs broken, being paraded through Gaza in the back of a pick truck as young boys spat on her. This is the hatred that Israelis are confronting.

In the months ahead, Gaza will be destroyed. Thousands of Palestinians are going to die. Palestinians will never be allowed to be in a position where they can cross the border again. Life was already pretty grim in Gaza. And it's going to get a lot grimmer in the decades ahead.

And for what? They have a day to kill Israeli civilians. And they will be paying for it for generations.

Well said.
I think Hamas has underestimated Israel. And, I think they are unaware of what is yet to come.

Yes, I expect Gaza to be leveled. I expect that they'll leave a scorched earth demilitarized zone so that this will never happen again there. It will likely cause a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

I think they are going to expel everyone left in Gaza into Egypt, raze it, and in 5-10 years it will become an Israeli beach/resort area.

I lived in Israel during Protective Edge in 2014. Hid with my family in our bomb shelter. We aren't Jewish we were expats there for a couple of years - our feelings on being bombed by Hamas were complicated, quite frankly. I didn't hate all of Gaza despite having to run to my shelter. I had sympathy for the people in Gaza. I think a lot of secular Israelis did too. They didn't want violence. But as the PP said, the Palestinians have chosen at every turn to make the wrong choice. I think this was the final wrong choice and it's over for Gaza and for any hope of Palestinian existence in Israel.

Only Trump can manage foreign affairs and keep peace. Biden voters would rather perish in ww3 from their incompetence and horrible instincts than let Trump hurt their feelings and question their intelligence.

Can’t we all just get along?

What will it take for people to realize organized religion isn’t all that?

I’m glad America, Canada, and the bulk of Europe got the memo.

I wonder what Bill Maher will say about this on Friday? Maybe he’s the guy we need to negotiate peace.

This is what happens when you have a weak President (see Carter). Biden is just Carter 2.0, but worse.

Great. Just read that as well.

Nice if Biden to let Taliban take control of Afghanistan and leave tons of tanks, helicopters, ammo for them. Now they can use it on Israel.

Good job Joe!!

Trump can’t manage his own hair and makeup let alone foreign affairs.

ICYMI: your blind faith in an ex-president is on par with blind faith in religion. Both silly and scary.

Palestinians don't have a lot of leadership. Hamas bombed cause violence is all they know. If you know better you should do better however.

The tragedy of humanity is that people run on emotion and continue cycles because it's easier than change.

Be better. Be the honorable one. Hamas should be punished. Innocent ones should not. Not all Palestinians are evil terrorists.
