Maintain your active participation, even if you have to reiterate the same limited arguments given to you, as it contributes to the ongoing community debate.

To others with differing viewpoints: Thanks for your understanding, empathy, and respectful communication while engaging with others. Open dialogue and the exchange of ideas while respecting contrasting opinions contributes to a civil discussion.

100% agree. A lot of Asian American hate is going on in this country.

Interesting that you interpret pushback to entitlement as “hate”.

It is odd how the most favored demographic at TJ imagines discrimination from a race-blind process.

It's also odd how Africans are being discriminated against in South Africa by minorities.

I think you are not able to understand "entitlement" after you have so much of it.

Once the admissions process was corrupted by all the prep centers making average kids appear gifted it was just a matter of time.

Stop using "prep centers" as the scapegoat.
If prep centers are the real problem, the solution will be simple.
We could just provide free prep services for any URMs who are interested.
Then, the TJ student population will resemble the US population.

I'm just curious - because I delight in giving people enough rope to hang themselves - what do YOU think the real problem is?

The problem is we can't simply spend $20k on Cuire classes to guarantee our children entry like the good old days. You have to actually be talented now. It's so crazy and unfair!

First of all, who is "we"?

Second of all, who is offering those services? Are the same people who have been doing it for lots of money and serving exclusively their own race (remember, literally 100% of Curie-to-TJ was South Asian) now going to do the same thing for Black and Latino kids out of the goodness of their hearts? Are they traveling into those communities to both promulgate and execute those services?

And are they doing this for several years to make up for the years ahead that the kids who have been paying for it already have in their back pockets?

And what do you tell the moderate-income families who are shelling out all of their hard earned money and time when you're now offering the same service, at the same quality, for free?

Come on now.

Either you are paid by Curie or a fool to repeatedly mention their name on these forums and unaware of free publicity it provides them

DP. I'm sure that Curie was suffering greatly from lack of exposure in the South Asian community and that relentless negative coverage of their behavior was just what Dr. Rao ordered. /s

Go to prep class still need to study and practice. Why do prep if we can just change the admission process to get it?
Why pay back the student loan if other taxpayers pay for it?
Why work if the welfare check is coming?
Why buy if we can steal?
