You’re not hearing about abortion-related deaths in Texas because women have been flooding to Oklahoma for abortions. Except now Oklahoma is going to bam abortion, so things will get much uglier.

I literally talked to my parents for 10 consecutive years (age 13-23) to turn them from republicans into democrats. It’s a long game, but it worked. I talked about women’s rights and rights of other minorities. I mean, it did help me that the GOP became just true monsters during that time (started w/ pointless invasion of Iraq).

I would say the same to liberal white men. They are much rarer. That’s the issue. And honestly, statistically we know that each group really has to sort of fight for its own rights. It shouldn’t be this way, but in reality it is.

No it has not. But many rapes happen. And often the victim knows their rapist.

Can I make you think about specifically which times in the last fifty years that the House had a liberal Democratic majority with enough votes to pass something like this, while simultaneously also having a 60-vote filibuster-proof majority to pass it on the Senate side, with a conference committee in agreement?
