Battlefield won 18-5. Good thing Oakton won their state championship already though. I hope they go celebrate hard

An Oakton Battlefield showdown. Everyone predicted this outcome at the beginning of the year

Oakton 2-0, time wasting commencing after 3 minutes.

The Board was right again !!

Early line--Oakton -4.

Battlefield will make it a game and the board has heard they have a solid goalie. That said, Oakton's seniors are on a mission. It will be hard for the Bobcats to make up for the hardening and sharpening the Cougars have gone through week in and week out with the competition in the Concorde District, scheduling SSAS, etc., not to mention the District, Region, and State playoff run coming out of Region D. Oakton is battle-tested. They can hat tip Madison when they bring home the title.

Would love to see Battlefield pull the upset but they haven’t played a strong team in 7-8 weeks. Not sure they will be ready for the speed Oakton will bring.

Oakton -6

Not sure Battlefield is any stronger than Centreville …

Remind us which strong teams Battlefield played outside of their NVYLL 7/8 schedule. Robinson?

So much for those who said face guarding #11 was the key to beating Oakton. Oakton’s other players feasted on that strategy today.

Dulles South--NVYLL 7/8A champs--would have gone at least .500 against Battlefield's schedule.

Yup. Bitter bitter people. Say what you want about Battlefield but they will come to play always.

Like the came to play in last year's state final?

I would love to “come to play” with that powder puff schedule. Having beat Battlefield and getting handled today really puts some things in perspective.

Beat Battlefield by 1 in March with your best player still being able to take the draw. Seems like your lack of possessions hurt you today.
