Aidan is still a cheeseball.

As sweet as he is, his folksy manner of speaking is highly annoying.

Seema is ridiculous.

Why? She’s sad about being in her 50s without ever having had a big love. I thought her sensitivity was understandable. Infatuated Carrie is A LOT to take.

Feeling sorry for herself and needing “space”. Ignoring her at the salon? Absurd. She was jealous and envious from the start and it was all immature.

+1 yeah I am surprised Seema acted like that. Not cool.

Did anyone else lol over the fact that his “virginia farmhouse” is located in NORFOLK?? Is it a fish farm? Bc Norfolk doesnt even have enough dry land for a regular house much less a farm, lmao

I actually thought the plot line with Seema was really realistic and liked how the show handled it. Yes, there was some immaturity there (on both sides! Carrie just totally forgot about her summer house with Seema AND was totally unrealistic about how that would work with Aiden in the picture) but that's realistic too -- people are not always super mature and rational.

But mostly I just think that's a very common issue with friends, even well into adulthood and middle age, when your lives don't match up in certain ways. Seema being willing to say, out loud, that she is unsure if she will like herself when she's the third wheel with Carrie and Aiden was actually extremely self aware. So was her willingness to say that she is jealous of Carrie having two "great loves" when she's never had one. That's very real and I think a totally rational feeling to have in that situation.

I like that they addressed it and I also think it gives Seema's character more depth. Seema is NOT just Samantha 2.0 -- she's embraced being single and professionally focused, but unlike Samantha, it's less of a choice for her and a part of her does wish she'd been able to find someone. But what she has in common with Sam is a refusal to compromise who she is in order to please a man who might be threatened by her. I just really like her character and think this storyline was realistic and fleshed her out a bit. She puts up a good front but there is a part of her that wishes things had turned out differently. What is more relatable than that?!

That amused me too. This show has such sloppy writing and this is just another example. He could have been somewhere in Loudoun or Fauquier but they chose the damn port town. Where nobody would dare leave their door unlocked at night!

They had to because of the “nonstop flight 4 times a day” from NYC.

I thought she was fine. She was right not to want to share that Hamptons house with Carrie and Aiden - can you imagine how irritating that would be? And she was self-aware enough to know she was feeling bad here - and needed a little space for herself to work through that.

I really enjoyed this episode. It felt like old SATC. The characters are feeling more real and lived in again.

Yes, exactly this! I really like this character, too. And the characters don't have to behave perfectly at all times - it wouldn't be much of a show if they did.

I think needing space was realistic. Ignoring someone at the salon is a high school move, though. Just say hi and keep it brief.

I kinda loved how Charlotte and Miranda found their groove this episode.
