SATC New Season - And Just Like That...

Nya rushed out of her marriage way too soon. And is perfectly fine. No stages of grief or anything. Yeah right.

The air b&b was obviously a temporary solution. You’d think two 50-somethings would be able to sort this out a little better before jumping in headfirst. He still has two kids at home, the youngest for another 5 years. He can’t bear her apartment. It’s ridiculous. At least Miranda tried to reason with her, but you can’t reason with an infatuated person in the midst of a sex haze.

You mean the one who upended her whole life and moved to LA for a non-binary person? Yeah, Carrie’s not taking advice from her now. Lol.

Good point, lol.

Sometimes it works that way for a while, but it will hit her hard at some point.

Uhh - Che being non-binary wasn't the problem there

Did anyone else have to pause and google Virginia brick farmhouse?

I wish Charlotte had just ditched the shapewear without having first seen the midriff-baring plus-sized boss. Instead, I would have loved to see her just walk into the gallery, look around, and realize she was herself again. Then go to the bathroom and ditch the Spanx. That would have been more powerful.

Agreed. Also completely unrealistic her boss would have presented herself that way, whatever her size.

Yes! Definitely farmhouses and pretty historic houses in that area but red brick is not so common. https://www.rein.com/multifamily-for-sale/716-Dudley-AVE-Norfolk-VA-23503-339005110

Charlottesville or Shenandoah would have been more realistic but then the regular commute wouldn’t have been doable.

I hated that!

This. Omg this plot line is maddening. And her flaky “maybe Aidan was my one true love all along?” Girl, that’s why you treated him like absolute dirt BOTH times?? And way to disrespect the memory of the man you were salivating to marry all along. Agree with another PP that Miranda’s commentary on this is absurd. Why didn’t the writers at least have Carrie all her on that?

Great review of this episode. This was how I read the situation anyway.

Miranda the intern gets to cover for the boss on maternity leave? Almost as ridiculous as Charlotte getting offered the gallery job out of the blue.

I find watching the other ladies with families way more interesting than Carrie. Carrie is a bore! Her life is so boring. There is no way Carrie would maintain that close of a relationship with all moms. Usually there is not much understanding from single women to moms with kids and as a result friendships drift.

I think Miranda getting the promotion at work is somewhat reasonable. Her boss clearly values her experience and she’s certainly had a lot of professional success. She’s clearly more accomplished than the other two interns who are very immature.
