Saw part of the arlington stream, the players on both teams have so many technical deficiencies, not to mention the tactical side. Both teams far too unrefined to get anything out of this game.

Both teams should be back at home training, not playing these games. Sorry to burst the bubble. These players might be good individually since it's assumed they are the best from their clubs but as a whole their performance is way, way below what it should be.

Totally agree, it's their first year playing 11v11. More time should be spend on learning how to play on full field vs. playing all these tournaments which only stress winning instead of development.

Yes but then how would we know which are the best teams and clubs?

I don’t think the answer is that knowing who is best is more important than learning how to play properly. But it is certainly how most parents think about it.

What do we need to know that? For parents to post on these threads and bragging on their kids top team? The kid has a poor first touch.

It’s not just the local teams. Same observations watching some of the streams of other games. I’m wholly unimpressed with the play at these ages from all the teams. The state of youth soccer in this country is just not what we think or wish it was. A national champ will be crowned but don’t mistake that winner as some kind of super club that is doing it different, they just survived longest in the tournament

You should try to watch Richmond United - next time they play McLean/VU, Loudoun, BRYC, Arlington or even VDA. Richmond United are extremely impressive; they have a solid mix of skilled, high IQ and legit crazy athletes. Without a doubt the best team around our parts!! They would be wiping the floor with every GA team I've seen so far on the streams, yesterday.

would like to see how impressive they are against an equally skilled and equally athletic team.

So the mighty 08 FCV will have tied a lower ranked team, looking really bad in the process, beat a Wild Card team in a close match and gets blown out by a quality team.

Why are they bragging again? Have they ever beaten a quality opponent?

Hats off to TopHats coach for putting together this solid team and allowing them to be individuals. They have the IQ, Athletes, Skill Players, Depth, Confidence, etc.. Very good team!!

This FCV 08 is on a steady decline. Leave while you can!!
