Yeah, She was my assemblywoman growing up in LA. She's fantastic and even if she isn't the pick, I am happy she is getting the national attention she deserves. If Kamala ends up at VP or AG, I hope Gavin Newsom considers moving her up to the Senate.

+1. I worked with Bass and her team back in Sacramento when she was speaker. The congresswoman has great leadership skills and is an expert political player. If Dems take the Senate, Bass is just who you need as a behind-the-scene players to whip votes for Biden's leg agenda.

Oooh good insights. I’m in CA and worked with various activist organizations, and she was always lending her time, energy, resources, expertise to motivate volunteers, help campaigns, and get out the vote.

NP here, Love this. Karen Bass Fan Club. She rocks and is at the top of my list for the second-in-command.

When I look at her incredibly solid and deep list of accomplishments and leadership positions, few prospects compare. And she just seems like a genuine and lovely person. Although I still think Tammy D would be a great strategic pick, Bass seems an exceptional governing pick and I think that’s what Joe wants.

I think Americans are fed up with nasty politics. I also think Duckworth and Bass are perfectly capable of being fighters, if in a less flashy way.

Biden’s brilliant campaign strategy is to let Trump and the GOP do all the campaigning for him. I think there are more silent voters not interested in arguing their position of support for Biden than there are silent Trump voters.

Strangely, I almost never see analysis that recognizes how geographically concentrated HRC’s vote was. The current obsession with natural aggregates misses how important broader geographic support is to defeating Trump.

I am Currently undecided. Biden is such a nice guy. I would love him to pick someone as likable for VP like Stacey Abrams. The nice ticket would get me and maybe then congress/senate could get some real stuff done.

The host is on to something. So much of this discussion is about affirming the ‘vote blue no matter who’ crowd, but the emphasis should be on garnering new voters.

Harris will lose a ton of swing votes. She is not likable and she is polarizing. Trust me on this. I think she's great but she will not help Biden. I come from the evangelical culture-May of whom actually hate Trump (the intelligent ones). My family and friends (and thousands upon thousands like them) will never, ever vote for her.
