No idea where the new players came from but would assume they aren't from the NL/Madlax/VLC close-in competitors but moreso from outside of Montgomery County.

Take it as you will...this is Maryland club lax and players can be added/dropped at any time. Will def make for some awkward convos when these parents run into each other around the neighborhood, however.

We'll see how all this plays out in the spring in Hoco. Personally I think DCE 2026 will finish 3rd or 4th in Elite, which is where they've finished the past four years or so.

Yup. Lapdog for Rage. It's what parents do to protect a spot for his kid who can't play.

Isn't this what the controversial post from last night was sort of saying. Parents running the show (i.e. recruiting players) not the coach? Hence the tryouts are a sham -- the already know who they want via the key parents bringing in the talent not the coach. This never happens at the Hawks -- the coaches are very active in scouting new talent.

Btw, now we all know the Hawks dad who started all this. Same one who is always posting on all the forums. Same one who is always talking to opposing players from the sidelines. Same one who wanted to start a fight at the World Series banquet. Same one who needs to get a life.

Yes, this is a plot by Hawks parents, whose team has won the 2026 'ship for the past four seasons, to undermine the perennial 4th place finishers. Get over yourselves.

Lumber boy is an utter fool, but not everything in the lacrosse world can be blamed on him. The controversial post obviously came from within the BLC team. The Hawks could care less who DCE might be adding or subtracting.

Sorry to veer off topic, but I did not hear that he tried to start a fight at the world series banquet. Was this part of the Express/Iroquois Mom catfight or something unrelated?

Typical of this group of parents to think the Hawks have this high of regard of the team.

I doubt the coach cares, he saw better players and picked them up, which is his job. The real question is what level of sociopathy do you have to have as a parent to actively recruit replacements for multiple kids on the team when they've been teammates with your kid for over five years, many of them attend the same school as your kid, and you'll definitely see those parents and kids again at various church/social events? Again, your choice, but burning bridges with people over youth lacrosse for the greater glory of your kid versus maintaining relationships with actual human beings seems pretty unhinged.

And go ahead and fire away, I'm a snowflake, my kid needs to hit the wall, etc etc.

100% on point. They still will not be able to beat Hawks, Crabs and Madlax. Would not be surprised before the summer tournaments, they will bring in more kids to join the team and some of the current players will not see the field.

It could be anyone as some of the BLC parents like to run their mouths to other non-BLC parents. This could very well come from a non-BLC Blacks Ops parent.

I thought the BLC kids that didn't play for Black Ops were all too old but would have made the team. How many BLC 2026 kids made the U14 BO team?

Will there be a Black OPs 2027 U13 team for next year's WSYL? Curious if Madlax or Hawks will put together teams. Shameful Baltimore area couldn't put together a competitive team to compete at U14 or U13 this last year

Best thing those kids that got let go can do is go somewhere, work hard, improve and beat their old team.

It's not like DCE has a bunch of great teams after 21 and 22, so go find a new home where they develop players and not cherry pick from Richmond or Annapolis or their BO partners, and the kids will be successful.

Not sure there is more to say at this point. We shall see how the DCE team does.

Dad’s realize they can’t win. Better to stop defending and go silent. Probably a smart move.

Results from the final summer tournament definitely are not an indicator of which team will be stronger in the fall. Especially NAL, where there are no cream puff teams, so even good teams can have bad records.

The real question is which of the two programs is gaining or losing players, and which has the better coaching. Anybody know the answer?

Next Level Dad here. Respect both teams. Lots of really good players on both. 4 questions-When was the last time BLC 2026 beat Madlax 2026? Have any of the top players on Madlax 26 ever moved to BLC? Has BLC shared its roster with the parents? if yes, how many new kids on DCE 26?
A BLC dad or mom should be able to answer these questions
