2026 Boys - Madlax or DCE?

6 or 7 new kids on DCE. Last time the 26 BLC team played ML it was a one point game in ML’s favor. ML has picked up some wins over the last few years, but has also been accused of shipping in kids from out of town and having older kids play for them on critical games. Can definitely say that is not how BLC rolls.

Agree it is premature but here are predictions based on what we do know.

BLC to ML - zero
NL to ML - zero
NL to DCE - 1
VLC to ML - zero
VLC to DCE - zero
ML to DCE - 2
ML to NL - zero
ML to VLC - 1

Okay, now fall rosters should be set by now. It appears that there was very little movement among the top 15-16 players on each of the four teams. I know of one player going from NL to DCE, and one from MadLax to VLC. Any significant moves that I am missing?

I am getting awfully tired of the Katie McMahon and Openly Gay threads, so let's bring this one back to life.

In my book there are six 2026 teams worth talking about - TRW Wolfpack, Top Caliber, NextLevel, DCE, MadLax, and VLC.

ML - not lost goalie to VLC but should be able to keep moving forward
DCE - not needs some middies
VLC - hot with goalie steal from ML
NL - not
TRW/TC - hot but a ways to go to climb from the bottom

Sounds about right.
What's the deal with MadLax? I heard that in addition to the goalie going to VLC, a couple of other starters and the coach departed.

New coach for ML and starting goalie went VLC is all I know of...

anybody else got insights to the ML and the rest of the slate of DMV teams?

VLC, Top Caliber, and NextLevel, going in the right direction. MadLax is a mess. Don’t know about the other two.

If you took the top 6-8 or so from DCE and ML then throw in a couple from the TopCaliber, NL and VLC, and put them all on one team, that team would compete w both NY Expresses, Tigers, Hawks, etc. It would be DC Dogs, DCE21 level, IMO.

Who can pull that off? That’s what I’d like to know. Of course, if you’re worried about not being in that group, you’d hate this thought. But just cause you hate it, doesn’t make it wrong.

Who is gonna pull it off? The club owners would never collaborate to make it happen, so parents and players would have to navigate. Would love to see it but seems unlikely at this point.

No kidding, Sherlock. If you assembled an all star team of the top five teams in the DMV, of course they would have equal or better talent than the national top 5. IF you assembled an all star team of the top five DMV high schools, that team would win the national championship most years. So what is your point?

This team does it exist - it’s the Under Amour all-America . 2026s can tryout this year.
