I believe the British would call this urban period of her life "slumming it". They like to do that abroad in their former colonies. |

This is why folks with the means to do so are fleeing.

The only problem is that murders are up a lot of places. Republican controlled cities, Democrat controlled cities, cities that instituted some reforms and cities that did not. It is a little bit worrying that a huge portion of the security services of this country are an auxiliary to one political party. Real banana republic stuff. |
These are all Democratic cities where Defund the Police sentiment prevails. Most red cities and states support law enforcement. |
Miami has a Republican mayor, murders are up. https://miami.cbslocal.com/2021/05/10/violent-crimes-are-increasing-and-even-experts-are-worried-over-violent-trends/ Ft. Worth has a Republican mayor, murders are up. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/crime/we-cannot-continue-this-divide-community-members-police-share-thoughts-on-fort-worths-rise-in-violent-crime/287-eb02c423-54d0-4018-a148-97ac2a519cbe NYC did not institute reforms and instead increased the police budget, but murders are up. LA did the same with the same result. Murders are not up in Seattle despite cutting part of the police budget. |
Are you implying that the tribe listens to facts. Sorry, you will be disappointed. Any increase in murders anywhere should be of great concern. But figuring out why there is an increase should be investigated before making stupid statements. |
This is not just in schools but in media too. I can’t listen to 88.5 anymore because almost every program is centered around race now. It just gets boring. |
Exactly. Homelessness and murder rates are increasing in blue AND RED states!! |
LA cut its police budget last. They are only reversing course now... in the face of skyrocketing crime rates. https://abc7.com/defund-the-police-lapd-los-angeles-mayor-eric-garcetti/6289037/ NYC also cut its police budget. https://cbcny.org/research/was-nypd-budget-cut-1-billion Seattle saw its highest murder rate in 26 years. https://www.seattlepi.com/local/seattlenews/article/2020-crime-Seattle-highest-homicide-rate-15864266.php |

According to the Washington Post, DC had 200 homicides last year. This year it is on pace for 187 homicides, which is about a 6% increase.
By contrast Montgomery County has already had as many homicides this year as all of last year and is on pace to more than double the number of homicides. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/local/homicides/ |
6% DECREASE, not increase. |
Uh.... DC homicides are up 23% from last year, not down...https://mpdc.dc.gov/node/197622 |
Yeah, gee, why can't we go back to the good days where white people didn't ever have to think about what it's like for anyone else? |
That is month-to-month data, which can show variability. Looking at the whole year, you see a different picture. 2020: 200 homicides (16.7 per month) 2021: 79 homicides (15.8 per month) |
