So who here went to the ballet coronavirus party?

Why is Ashley’s husband getting a pass in all this? Sure she was likely the driver in having the party and camp, but it’s his property too.

Did he also have a pending COVID test at the time of the party?

Ehhhh but if your dh had just gotten a COVID test and was like "Let's throw a party," wouldn't you ask him if he was insane? Sounds like her husband didn't try to educate/stop her.

Matt is solid. He's so hen pecked though that he has probably lost some common sense.

Getting busted for throwing Covid parties aside, their lives look so charmed. They are so pretty and rich and thin. Their instas look like pages from a magazine.

Of course. They’re the popular girls grown up. Everything has always been, and will always be, easy breezy perfect for people like that. It’s the combination of inherited wealth and good looks.

Well I guess COVID was the great equalizer for Ashley, at least for now. It's one thing to be a fit frivolous and out of touch; it's another thing to be negligent and callous regarding the health of entire families. And poor Candace, if you look at her Instagram stories, she had a happy family until just a few months ago, but then her bubble burst. Divorce with young ones is never easy especially when your ex keeps the dream house and moves in your replacement.

The grass isn't always greener, friends, even when it's a manicured lawn in Spring Valley.

Agree, and I would never want to hang out with people like this—so shallow in the first place and vain (eg to put one’s house in a magazine, seek the spotlight in ways such as trying to be an Instagram influencer); and their money doesn’t seem to have allowed them to developed any particular taste (pompom handbags? Nicely done but “safe” decor?)
On top of it, their actions of 1) hosting a summer camp during coronavirus; 2) having a dinner party (With catering staff) during coronavirus; and 3) being negligent in informing people —and possibly already suspecting you had it before you mingled —is not only unethical, but incredibly selfish and entitled. The ballet should have been wiser than to allow people like her to use their organization to burnish her own image.

And to the PP who wrote this specific post about being jealous, please find some other role model to aspire to.
Btw, these aren’t “the popular people all grown up, with natural good looks and inherited money”. They are, however, the grownup version of shallow youths that care mainly about what other people think of them, and they often have plastic surgery/dye jobs etc to enhance their looks....and they often seek to marry into money instead of earning their own. Such shallow people like to create the idea that they are “popular”, but in my experience, people with substance and taste usually have nothing to do with them.

^^
Also adding that the people who sent their kids to this summer camp and/or attended a soirée, when such activities went against common sense And DC guidelines are also people I would consider entitled, selfish, and foolish.

Fair enough.

DC needs to step it up hard.
What are the fines for breaking the phase 1 order?
