The short item linked above is way outdated by now. The FCPS school turned these students away. Has anyone heard where the student group is now? They were supposedly going to salvage their trip by staying in the DC area as tourists, sightseeing. I'm very surprised I haven't seen any updates on whether they actually are in a hotel, taking Metro around town, going to museums or other sites etc. Its like they fell off the radar re: news coverage, once the school visit was cancelled.

Let's be accurate: The tweet you're linking to refers to numbers of people "treated and discharged." That's not equivalent to "cured." And the information seems to come from the Chinese government so--no way to know if it's true. They have quite the vested interest in saying people are being treated and sent home.

DP. Nepal also released its patient and they don’t have a vested interest.

Also, from a public health degree p.o.v., the word cured is not used when we are talking about viruses. We look at symptoms and viral load.

It means realizing that there are people who professionally, ideologically, or for their own kicks will manipulate the public. The 2016 election exposed our vulnerability to misinformation.
