What time today?

I think we might have been the last person in the lottery order for PK3. Wait-listed at 269 for Lee, 248 for ITD, 335 for CMI, etc. We did end up matching at our safety - Friendship Armstrong - which historically has no wait list. Just posting to make almost all of you feel better.

Second year in a row locked out of lottery. I am PISSED. A high 200s at Latin. 100s. 75 at one school. My feeder patterns are JEFFERSON for a kid that scores 4s and 5s on PARCC. I HATE THIS SHIT.

Move IB to Hardy.
My kid has never scored less than 5s. Doesn't do his homework and missed lots of days of school. Jefferson doesn't suck, you elementary sucks.

Jefferson isn’t a bad school.

Did I say it was? What I said was I have a high achieving kid that doesn’t require the kind of awesomesuperGod wraparound support that Jefferson provides. Great principal, A+ with regard to giving his kids the structure that they may not otherwise be getting. Highly recommend it for families that need it. That’s not us.

Doesn’t sound like a match for us. Take care.

I think your karma and sense of entitlement clearly must have affected your master number.

It is a lottery. Your kid's 4s and 5s do not make them any more worthy of Washington Latin than anyone else.

I don’t believe in Karma.

The only thing that affected my SPOT is MY ADDRESS which is an issue of EQUITY NOT KARMA.

Well yeah, it sounded like you think your kid is too good for Jefferson. Enjoy your move to NW/MD/VA!

We got incredibly lucky and got placed at LAMB,but didn’t get placed in the big lottery. I still need to tour the school and ask some questions but we’ll likely enroll our daughter there.

Your address keeps you out of a DCPS you like. It has nothing to do with whether you get into Washington Latin.

You would probably be unhappy with the WL academics anyway. It really isnt' more advanced than Jefferson.

Then stand corrected. Don’t act like my post is unique. My job is to research schools that would be a good fit for us. Stand down.
