Well, you focus on the problems that you choose to focus on, and I'll choose to focus on the problems that I choose to focus on. Though it's interesting that you choose to focus on the problem that is based on the idea that women are crazy and vindictive and routinely lie.

Over and over again. But oh no, please tell us how there is no woman hating going on here.

No remind us again how helpless women are and that they can cry rape if they just regret having se

I have never heard someone who isn't a raging asshole use the term "cry rape" so I'm all done here. Have fun with your pro-rape mindset, though. I'm sure you can find a way to victimize yourself.

Why do you keep repeating that people are saying this? Nobody is saying this.

Also, what's with the "cry rape"? Is it related to "cry me a river"? Or perhaps to "cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war"? Or (since DCUM is mainly a parenting board) to "cry it out"?

Why the hell is your son "banging" minors??? Gross. Y

Not the PP, but hopefully you're aware that there are girls who pass themselves off as 18 or older and plenty of guys believe them. Who's at fault then? The guy for believing he's hooking up with someone legally of age (because remember, she told him she was), or the girl for lying to him and then hooking up with him?

When I was in college, there were always local high school girls who would come on campus for parties, hookups, etc. I hope one of them isn't your daughter some day.

Unbelievable. So much for five years of his life and a ruined reputation.

This is an excellent - though extremely frightening - article.

The age of consent in Maryland is 16 (it's 15 in Virginia), and it doesn't have an exception for "But she told me she was 18!" Something for college students to keep in mind.

Sounds like you/your teenage son needs to be taught to get to know a girl a little more before he bangs her in order to figure out if she lies about how old she is and they have sex.

Typically girls are of the gender who are disrespected. They are mocked, raped, beaten and impregnated and don't have the same means to defend themselves as men. So that is why this post is focused on girls.

This is clearly one side of the story. I wonder what really happened. Perhaps the boy was not treating her well - but wouldn't pass up an opportunity to stick his penis in her. Perhaps he tried to break up with her and was an a$$hole about it.

But whatever the reason, it teaches boys to be respectful to girls they are getting sex from, because girls ultimately have the power.

I don't think smarts run in the family. Sounds like neanderthal behavior, unable to control himself from "banging " (puke) a pretty girl.

Oh, I see. But your daughter has no role (or blame) in this situation, right? It's no big deal if she goes out to meet guys, lying about her age in order to get them to sleep with her.
