It was all passed.

Huge win for WJ.

How is that a win for WJ??? im in this cluster. My 8th grader was accepted into Blair. My younger kid will not have such an opportunity. I was very against this.

Similar situation with us. We're in the WJ cluster and my older kid went to RMIB. Having an IB diploma was a huge advantage in his admission to university in Europe. This is our goal for both kids, as we're dual citizens. Now my daughter won't have the same opportunity to receive an IB education, since Kennedy (now our only option for IB) is both weak and extremely far from our house. Very much against the new regional program!

Only loser: Magruder community, who I truly feel for, but hitched their wagon to the made up Save Wootton excuses that seem to be more about Save Wootton from Gaithersburg elementary schools joining it.

Everyone else: Very slight nudge down for Wootton as a whole.

The best possible option given the circumstances prevailed.

I actually feel bad for Fields Road and Rosemont.

Also SSIMS down to ~55% utilization - backdoor way to close the school

I have the same question. What is this modified H?

I think modified H is what mcps presented at boe in february, but someone plz confirm

Modified H was the superintendent’s recommendation for the crown study- RELOCATE Wootton to the crown farm building, add Fields Road ES, and Rosemont island #8 (Crown/Decoverly) neighborhood, Cold Spring is moved to the Churchill Cluster.

In the demographics game, NWHS is the big loser.

I don’t like Yang or the anti-Crown crowd, but Montoya’s was an inappropriate remark, regardless if she was referring to Julie or that crowd.

Montoya creates division. In the end, this will not serve her well. Hopefully, this will be her only term.

Didn't you see how the Wootton parents were acting? Would you want your kids going to school with their kids?

For some of us, out of school is the only way to get our kids needs met. Some have financial assistance.

I just finished watching the video. What a dose of humble pie the rude anti-Crown mob got! Everyone got to see how hostile they were shouting and interrupting when they disagree. I'm so happy they got called out for having the nerve to appropriate "equity" to hide their racist intentions to keep Wootton exclusive. Also, who boos "The Man in the Arena" quote? Don't they see they're telling on themselves by booing a famous quote about not being some coward who merely critiques but offers no solutions?

Your kid will be just fine at WJ.

Fields road ES will not be affected by the pressure cooker learning environment so don’t worry. Maybe wotton will be a more chill school. We will see.

Me too, I thought she'd stand up for the DCC and the DCC schools.
