Providing equity is meant to end racism and poverty. |
Thats the hope, but Montoya and Wolff were concerned about equal outcomes as the first objective |
| As the parent of two DCC graduates who are still benefiting from in-school programs I never could have afforded outside of school, this Board vote is truly devastating. |
I don’t like Yang or the anti-Crown crowd, but Montoya’s was an inappropriate remark, regardless if she was referring to Julie or that crowd. |
If the goal is equality they should say that (not that this achieves equality but it doesn't even pretend to aim for equity) |
Taking all the opportunities from Asians and whites. The other day, I was in Baltimore and they had national association of black engineers conference. I wonder if there is an association of white engineers? |
Today i saw a sign that said Organization of chinese americans. I wonder if there is an Organization of white americans? |
| I am sorry I voted for Laura Stewart. She is a huge disappointment |

Big winners: Fields Road and Rosemont get Wootton. Dufief gets to keep Wootton.
Only loser: Magruder community, who I truly feel for, but hitched their wagon to the made up Save Wootton excuses that seem to be more about Save Wootton from Gaithersburg elementary schools joining it. Everyone else: Very slight nudge down for Wootton as a whole. The best possible option given the circumstances prevailed. |
I take his statement to mean that MS programs will stay the same as is for the time being. They would be stupid to make these large changes to HS programs and on top of that make more radical changes. But we will have to stay tuned i guess |
