Thank you, Ms. Uber! Please ask MPD and the Superior Court if they plan to correct the last name spelling in the arrest announcement, publish a mug shot, and fix the court docket so that the relevant files can be located with the correct first and last name (instead of first and last name being switched). |
Thanks, Ms. Uber. Please ask MPD to fix the arrest announcement and say there were 3 victims instead of 2 victims. This is a notable change. |
| What is standard practice here? Does law enforcement do a wide sweep of all associates of a sexual predator, including school communities and teams? Or do they wait for victims to come forward? |
DC does not publish mugshots. Someone would have to file a FOIA to get one. |
I agree! A new release with a corrected name and mugshot should have been released. |
Thanks, never heard of this. Curious how recent this is and is it because of race. |
Here's background on the no-mugshot policy in DC. It goes back decades. https://dcist.com/story/12/09/04/ask-dcist-mug-shots/ |
Wow. Their reasoning dates back to the 1960’s. Perhaps they should consider that when a perp is on the loose, people can’t call cops if they don’t know what he looks like. Plus, a criminal who’s on the loose endangers the entire community. Don’t people care? |
The police publish photos of suspects who are wanted all the time. The suspect in this case is not on the loose. You are mixing apples and oranges. |
+1. Hoping that WaPo can explain what's being done to ensure that all affected families are aware of the investigation. |
| There is another bond hearing tomorrow. There is a good chance he will be released. Home (not in his actual home) confinement for the next nine months until a grand jury indicts him (hopefully). The more victims who come forward, the more likely he will plea guilty. |
| Why do you think he will be released? |
Given he lives in the same apt complex as the victims, that would be a very bad idea! |
