Lean meat and oil higher in unsaturated fat are better than red meat and butter. The research holds on this. Actually vegetarian diets have even better health outcomes. |

I go to a top cancer hospital and pills are what keep the patients alive and sometimes eliminate the cancer for decades. I go monthly and there are all kinds of people there, cancer doesn’t discriminate. They don’t hurry you in the visits. I think you might be thinking of what doctors call “the worried well”. It’s the patients who go to the office with every little thing. From blisters on their feet from walking in new shoes to a stuffy head and runny nose, no fever. They’d sit there for an hour if they could whining about nothing. There are two sides to the problem, evil insurance companies and idiot patients. |
All US citizens should have the same health care as members of Congress and their families--much of it free. |
Yeah those $0.79 nutritional lentils and $0.99 can of chicken broth just don’t compare to soda & McD. |
Great questions. |
It’s an expectation as human beings, no, that we assist someone in danger? Even animals ask humans for help. Would we turn down an animal in need? Why are so many so quick to turn away from a fellow human in need. |
I like that guy who over the weekend said that if people want insurance, they should just get a job.
Newsflash, bud, not every corporate job offers insurance. I'm with a small business right now and they are not required to offer insurance nor do they. I have to pay OOP for that. I pay a LOT OOP each month for a crappy ACA plan ($425/mo with an $8k deductible). Am I looking for another job that offers insurance? Sure am and have been for about a year. It's brutal out there. And the job I had before this one that offered insurance, guess what happened to it? The company outsourced their Finance department to India. |
I had to call around and get my own health insurance when I went to college. So I did and chose an Aetna plan. Bfd. |
My parents ran a small business together and had to buy the family’s health insurance in the open market. So they did. It’s never cheap unless a single person high deductible plan. |
Cool story. |
Cool story bro. |
It’s entirely because of lifestyle, which includes eating a lot of high calorie foods and large portions, and not exercising enough. |
You can still buy rice, beans, seasonal fruits and vegetables for a reasonable price. Most people don’t want to eat them, though. |
The rise in global obesity is directly linked to increased pesticide use. I love how everyone blames individuals for all our ills instead of looking to our government and corporations screwing us over for profit. Look at the farm lobby, the pesticide lobby, the health lobby, then tell us how much power individuals have. |
