Between Gaza and Iran, has Israel gone too far?

After that, that's also look into Saudi Arabia and Egypt as well.

Instagram as an authoritative source? Give me a break.

Israel has no quarrels with Pakistan, Egypt, or Saudi Arabia. If they leave Israel alone, Israel will leave them alone. Ask Egypt how it learned that lesson in 1967 as a result of the 6-Day War when, in response to those countries mobilizing to attack, Israel defeated Egypt, Jordan, and Syria and occupied the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.

I hope Israel gets at least 3-4 weeks of beating on Iran before the US calls them off.

Israel didn’t kick the hell out of anybody. Hamas is still there. Hezbollah is still there. Iraq is still there. Yemen is still there.

The only success they received is Syria.

None of those pose any meaningful threat to Israel any more. Looks like success for Israel to me.

The problem Israel has with Iran is not that they have nukes but they created them without the watchful eye or rubber stamp of the US. They’re a sanctioned country that was able to enrich uranium without being a U.S. ally.

What this means is Palestinians (Hamas) can learn from Iranians how to enrich uranium as deterrence from Israeli aggression or worse, buy enriched uranium from Iranians.

This is really bad because Israel can’t bomb Palestinians or the Lebanese anymore if both countries have a secret stockpile of uranium.

Nuclear deterrence is a huge roadblock to Israeli military dominance which is the only thing that makes Israel a country. They don’t have a real economy or a real military

Au contraire, Israel's interests align very well with those of the U.S. Neither is willing to tolerate terrorists or aggressive theocracies seeking to destabilize other countries, both are democracies with free and open elections, and they are partners in trade.

Partners in what trade? Israel has nothing.

Iran can close the strait of Hormuz tomorrow and that will have major global implications on the price of oil.

According to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, U.S. total goods trade with Israel were an estimated $37.0 billion in 2024. U.S. goods exports to Israel in 2024 were $14.8 billion, up 5.8 percent ($813.7 million) from 2023. U.S. goods imports from Israel totaled $22.2 billion in 2024, up 6.7 percent ($1.4 billion) from 2023. The U.S. goods trade deficit with Israel was $7.4 billion in 2024, an 8.6 percent increase ($587.0 million) over 2023.

Notice the font earlier listed Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as another target. The Saudis only recently discussed nuclear power with the Americans.

The Israelis lie through their teeth about not having any nuclears but we all know they have it. They want to be the only country in the Me with nukes

Who cares? Hummus and spyware/technology are not the same as oil.

Oil can cause major ripple effects on the price of gasoline and grocery prices.

Call me when Israel has that resource in their country

They have real nukes and a real military, or you can pretend they don't. Ask Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran for their views on the "impotence" of the IDF.

An entirely satisfactory situation, too.

It would mean endless war for the US. We don’t even have universal healthcare in the US. Israel does.

At what point do we stop being a folded pretzel for this country? It goes against our national interest in oil to help them to this extent. The ROI is not there. They don’t even pay us. Yet Donald wants Europeans to pay into NATO.

They get away with murder literally for reasons I don’t understand

Few countries have substantial oil reserves. Does that mean they have no foreign trade? What an idiotic, and clearly false, assertion.

You'll never understand anything if you reduce national interests to nothing more than economics.

Israel says they don’t have nukes because they don’t want to sign to the non profileration treaty and get inspections. Iran’s a signee.

Did Israel expect the region to not advance toward nuclear bombs when all of their neighbors are scared of them?

I don’t understand how Israel thinks. A gang up between the entire Middle East is not a guarantee that it would lead to victory like in 1948 and 1967. The Israeli soldiers back then were badass Soviet trained soldiers or many still knew Arabic from their past nationalities. The soldiers of now? They weren’t even alive in the 90s and only speak Hebrew and they barely even speak English as well as their opponents I’ve noticed. This is going to be really bad wars of attrition just like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Yemen.

So it’s reduced to morality? We have a moral responsibility to Israel.

I get that but we also have a moral responsibility to not kill millions for the pleasure of the few.

All foreign trade from Asia would be impossible without Iran.

Good luck without China or their goods. Guess who they are aligned with?
