Who do you think is going to win and why?

Sorry - like her better ^

I like her better than Trump. So does DH. So do most people I know. We don't actually like her. We just don't want him. That's a real problem for Kamala because a lot of people like Trump for Trump. If I ever saw one little thing I think Trump can do better than Kamala - Kamala loses my vote. That's why Trump is gaining in the polls now.

She can't keep her votes because she's not able to turn people like a lot of candidates who did become POTUS.

Harris has done nothing to earn her status as a candidate and has repeatedly blown opportunities to define herself on issues that matter the most in voters’ minds like the economy. Her recent foray into attacking Trump as a “fascist” only shows the level of desperation inside her campaign.

However, if Harris loses, most of the blame should go to Biden, whose ego and selfishness unnecessarily caused this 11th hour scramble.

She has gone full negative against Trump. She is not presenting any joy or positive vision for the country, only trying to stoke fears about Trump.

She has nothing going for her other than not being Trump. I saw a few clips from her townhall last night. She cannot answer a basic question if she has not been fed a canned answer ahead of time by her team. She is way out of her depth.

Can Harris voters please get a grip? Also, don't count your chickens, MAGA. Seeing a lot of GOP who are not toeing the party line on this one.

She is. You just don't want to hear it. She laid specific plans about healthcare and the economy at the very townhall you mentioned. Not a "concept" of a plan or "tariffs" either

As a Democrat, one of the things that bothers me about Democratic thinking about everything is the emphasis of anecdote over data.

It’s a big frustration point for a party that claims the mantle of the technocrats and to “believe in science”. Every policy and program needs micro-targeted exemptions and carve outs based on some random story of some sub-population that has some Democratic politicians ear.

Let’s get this straight. Everything you said is true. You and everyone you know has a higher favorable impression of Harris than Trump. Americans generally don’t generally like either but when forced to choose, on balance they will pick Trump by a whisker.

Another way of putting this, in summary. Get over yourself. Not everything is about you.

Quite entertaining from a certain perspective. You vote ALWAY ALWAY ALWAYS for the one you like. On some level, people like Trump.

On the other hand, I think Harris will win this time around because institutions/business tends to favor Harris.

This. Plus, we've already had Trump for 4 years. People know that things were pretty good then; the world certainly didn't fall apart.

Disagree that Harris will win. I think Trump will win, and surprisingly comfortably.

People know he was deranged, tried to overthrow the government, and told us to drink bleach while giving away our COVID testing machines and PPE to his little friend in Russia.

Yeah. I’m sure all the people who realized they’d been played on Jan 6 are gearing up to vote for him.

And all the Republicans speaking out against him too.

So popular. Wow!

I am in VA and I convinced my wife and son to vote for the good of the country and for the best interest of the common people and they both voted for Trump yesterday.

So... for the good of the country is a guy who had the job previously and while on the job he had the opportunity to step up and be the Commander-in-Chief he was elected to be during the most significant national security threat on our country's soil since 9/11. What did Trump do in that moment? He sat in The White House watching the event unfold on TV while ignoring all pleas for help and guidance for 187 minutes while a mob of hundreds that had stormed through security at the US Capitol Building were roaming the halls looking for prominent US leaders to "hang". For 187 minutes Trump did nothing. Sitting POTUS wouldn't take a phone call in that moment. You and your family moronically voted for a Coward-in-Chief. Pea-brained idiots.

Wow.

Here we go again ... the tolerant left.

I'm not left. This isn't a partisan thing. It's a basic common sense thing. Even dumb people should be smart enough to not support a guy that turned his back on the American people and refused to do his job in such a moment while he had the job previously. What other POTUS in our history would have refused to be POTUS for hours while that was going on just a little over a mile away at our Capitol Building with most of our prominent leaders and officials trapped inside? No other POTUS would.

"Likeability" is incredibly subjective. Trump has a 52.1% unfavorable rating average on 538. I dislike him a lot and so do over half of Americans.

Harris reminds me of lots of capable and accomplished women I know who I find very likeable. I don't think she's as naturally charismatic as many Presidents but she is more likeable than Trump -- her unfavorable rating average is 47.5%. Also tellingly her unfavorables have fallen and her favorables have gone way up since she became the candidate and people have gotten to know her a bit more. That's a positive sign.

So your wife voted against woman having access to healthcare and control of their bodies in the best interest of the common people??

DP (and a woman) here to let you know that not every woman is solely motivated to vote for the right to kill her unborn child. I am more than my uterus, thank you VERY much. And I'm perfectly fine with abortion being a states right issue.

If you look at favorability polls Harris viewed favorably by more people and unfavorably by fewer people than Trump. That is data. See for yourself:

There are bigger issues - I’m past having kids, never slept around and could take care of my birth control. And it’s a State issue now.

Posters here are playing along. Bogus polls.
See p.18 10:21 The integrity of polling averages when a plurality or a majority of the polls are coming from right-aligned firms that don’t adhere to industry standards for transparency or data collection and producing much more Republican-friendly results. Manipulating the mainstream analytical community saying the election is slipping away from Harris.

I'm PP and I don't understand what your point is but I'm actually not voting for either candidate in good conscience.

My feeling is that Harris will win and she'll win by a landslide. I don't buy into the hype it's that close. I think that she received $1B donations from tons of people and a lot of big F500 companies. That's a hard thing to beat.

However, I am not a fan of hers. She lacks political acumen - it's exactly what Hillary did which is to run on the platform that she's not Trump. To me, Kamala sucks as a politician because she is like Hillary in that she can't quite turn you the way successful politicians can - so it's not that all successful politicians are wonderful people but if you're in politics, the most competent are those that can apply the gift of charm. If you can't do that, as POTUS I'm not sure she'll actually be effective.

Take any President whether you agree with his platform and my suggestion is that they didn't get elected on their platform rather on their ability to convince you whether you wanted them to win. It's not intellectual, it's always psychological.

this is so telling. Is that who you think needs abortions? The sleeping around women, whatever the eff that means?

I bet you the previous smooth brain would be shocked to know that 1. most women who get abortions are married and already have children and 2. That people can still care deeply about an issue when it doesn't directly affect them.
