I am furious. I cannot in good conscience vote for either one of them. That we are put in this position is completely unacceptable. The whole world is watching in shock and horror that this is the best that the US can offer up.
I'm not voting for a candidate, I'm voting, volunteering, donating for the kind of America I want to live in. One where there is the promise of equality and kindness vs. giving billionaires more even tax breaks and ignoring our climate. I'm voting for my daughters to have rights over their bodies. I'm voting for my daughter's to be able to get a divorce if they happen to marry an abuser.
+1. If you don’t vote you’re saying you’re fine with Trump’s America, so just own it.
I’m voting blue no matter who at this point (although massively distasteful to me) but this isn’t really the choice here. Do you vote Trump, having been through one Trump presidency, and therefore for a somewhat known quantity? Or do you vote for an unknown Democratic executive branch, identity currently unknown (assuming Biden doesn’t step down)? Democrats have to accept that people don’t like unknowns. They want known executives. And if it’s not clear who is running the country, many won’t vote at all.
I think you have that reversed. What's this great mystery about "who's running the country" on the Dem side? There's far more likely to be wild cards on the Trump side than on the Dem side. Trump had a constant revolving door of senior staffers and advisors, and a lot of real flakes and downright nasties like Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller and so on, not to mention all of the Trump staffers who went to jail for various things. Dem executive on the other hand has been a lot more stable and consistent.
Yes. There has been so much chaos the past several years with Trump, you need a chart to keep track. So many of his associates have been arrested, indicted, put in jail, disbarred, etc.. Who can keep track. Nevermind all the crimes Trump has committed and probably won’t be held accountable. It’s total madness to even contemplate letting this guy get elected again.
And yet, he will be. Which is horrifying.
