Everyone needs a hobby, and deciding what is and is not porn is yours. |
None of the books being debated are porn. |
No, his hobby is ignorantly calling books that aren't porn porn. Some PP was complaining about Lawn Boy, but clearly hadn't read it at all. |
The only images of penises in schools are sex ed. |
They are simple questions. Where did your kids learn about these things? And what if your kid was questioning their sexuality/identity. Would you support them reading books written by others to learn about their experiences? |
False. You don't know what porn is and/or you haven't read these books. |
Yes. 100% |
No. I would support them talking first to their parents. |
What if they weren’t comfortable with that? |
+10000 |
What if your kids didn’t feel comfortable talking to you? |
Fighting to protect kids from pervs is one of my passions, yes. |
We're talking about books here. Books, in libraries. "Protecting" kids from ... books. |
Step 1: Ban books. Step 2: ?????? Step 3: Kids talk to their parents! |

The books are not porn. Describing a sexual act - even with pictures - does not automatically make something porn. Folks are ignoring that the books are essentially the same as Judy Blume in graphic novel form.
Not porn. |
